The hierarchy of basic skills:
Batters:
BSP >>>> HIT >>>>>>>>>>>>> POW

Pitchers:
FIN >>>> PSP >>>>>>>>>>>> END >> BRV

(BRV has a minor impact on pitchers, and AWR has a minor impact on both)
Of course, if you want to practice fielding, my suggestion is Fundamentals, it offers a very good balance of skills to gain and it's worked for me in the past.
