Yeah I'm fine with Giants-Rangers, that should be a very interesting matchup! The Yankees are already eliminated, so I'll be happy with remaining team.

as disappointed as I was that Game's 2-6 were all blowouts, I almost thought of it as a great series since the Rangers won :?

And heck we still have Giants/Phillies tonight

Sports Illustrated just ran an article on the Giants, and how their drought's been overlooked compared to those of the BoSox, Cubs, White Sox, etc.

Oh, and I was out today at a fundraiser at my sis's school, wearing my Giants jersey, and a security guard said I looked just like Tim Lincecum  8)

Well, looks like it's gonna be a Giants-Rangers WS.

I'm glad, since it isn't a Phillies-Yankees WS again.

All right then, this should be interesting! I'm not sure who to root for... I think I'll root for the Rangers.

By the way, go Cody Ross! He's pretty awesome, I liked him even while he was on the Marlins a long time ago.

Never really knew who Ross was. I like Buster Posey a lot, though.

I'm cheering for the Giants, and this WS looks like it'll be CLOSE!

Heyward for Rookie of the Year!

Sorry, but Posey's got it. 28 points higher BA, 50 points more SLG, and an equal statline (other than SB's) with over 100 less AB's (and even more difference in PA's). Plus he's cooler, 'cuz he plays for the Giants

But Heyward gets 2nd :P

Obviously neither will win Rookie of the Year, but Starlin Castro and Tyler Colvin have to get SOME recognition. Colvin led the majors in homers for rookies with 20, and Castro, who is still only 20 years old, hit .300.

Bolded part, exactly why Heyward should win the award. Sure Heyward only batted .277, but Posy had less ABs. Posey certainly has a case with HRs and RBIs, but Heywards had to deal with the wear and tear of the whole season, while Posey came in later in the year.

But then, Posey is a catcher, which is the most physically demanding position in baseball with the exception of pitcher.

Man I can't wait for this world series, I don't have to root against anyone  (well I'm rooting more for the Rangers but I want it to be a great series and want the team to win the world series at home)
Before in 2009 i rooted against the Yankees, rooted against the Rays in 2008 because I was still bitter about the ALCS, rooted for the Red Sox in 2007 and before that I never watched the World Series...

It should be a great series. The Giants are the favorite but with Cliff Lee making 2 starts in the series (maybe 3  ) then the Rangers will make it interesting, they're a good team themselves
