Me loves some Pokemon Fire Red.

I almost had an update ready for the MLB Life Log, but I had to exit without saving near the end of the month. The Cubs traded me to the Yankees for Alex Rodriguez, and the Yankees had a ridiculously bad record. But that's not why I had to reload. I had to reload because the management in MLB Power Pros is so moronic that they traded their Superstar player over for a pitcher that's 14-0 with an ERA under 2, just to stick him in AAA and never call him up.

Why is everyone quoting me then putting them in their sig's?

I was the first to quote you (I think), and mine is completely genuine. I mean, why wouldn't I want to recognize your praise of my log?

Have to say I'm a little disappointed in the forum community and the way Ham Bone is being treated. There's just no satisfaction from teasing a guy based on his forum posts. If you think they're unintentionally funny, keep it to yourself or pm a friend if you want them to see it too. But there's no reason to publicly humiliate someone for a post you deem uneducated. Now, if someone does break a forum rule (Double Post, Asking a question that has already been answered etc.), you can politely correct him.

But seriously, quoting him in your sig? Better uses for that space than being condescending every time you post.

Well maybe Ham Bone should put a little more thought into his posts. Have you seem some of his posts? It's just downright rediculous!

Lighteningman is correct on all counts. Just because someone posts a topic or response on the forum that others may deem below their level of intellect does not give those people the right to "bully" or isolate that individual. Now I don't like what everyone posts as I'm sure there are people who may dislike my posts such as posting 25-30 consecutive players but I choose to tolerate/respect those comments made by others as I would hope the same is given to me. Even if you dislike what others posts and you don't care of the effects on those people your condemning, also think of the bigger picture, there are loads of people who may read these forums both non-members and members. Do you really think members are not going to be affected by what they read and how others "police" bad topics grammer etc and choose to stay? Do you think it is also a good thing to read for those even remotely contemplating joining the forum let alone even posting something?

Okay, here are my two cents. I too think the whole quoting him and putting it in your sig has gone overboard. One, it's old now. Not funny anymore. Two, he took notice to it, strongly implied he didn't like it and some of us kept doing it. Now, I can't say that I have been perfectly nice to Ham Bone. That would be hypocritical and a flat out lie. When Ham Bone posts stupid questions or a one or two word posts, I will tell him off for it. Sometimes a little too aggressively. I have made fun of Ham Bone in the past so I will not say I am innocent of that, but now since you two pointed it out to us, I think it will die down.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything that has been said. I will admit, I may have ragged on him one or two times, but generally, I give him the benefit of the doubt sometimes, and give him some compliments and helpful advice. Heck, he PM'd me yesterday asking what a registered user was. And you know what, I answered that question, in the politest of manners. I seem to be the only one (that I know of) willing to do this.

C'mon guys, we're better than this. I don't want to see this forum be mean to new members. Take SimYard, for example. Most of the time, when there's a new member there, they try to figure out whose multiple account it is, when it probably is not a multiple account, and sometimes it hurts that person's feelings. Heck, it even caused one guy to quit, who had been around for just a few days.

I used to think that this was an accepting community. Now, I'm starting to reconsider that opinion. Don't make me do that.

Now all we need is an sjax rant.
