I really disagree with this idea. The fact that I might have a realistic shot at the playoffs in upcoming months, I do not want to play sub par teams to lower my SoS. Furthermore, the fact that not everyone will be able to play consistently and time flexibilty is an issue. Think about it, good players do not want their SoS to be lowered. This will work out at the start when everyone is all enthusiatic about it, but it will die off at the end.

I might not get a permit but I will to make sure no one steals players from me -_____- and I got the money but I don't think it's worth it. I'm probably not goi to transfer players as my guys will get slaughtered at majors.

I'll join to make the noob division complete if thats what we go with. But I agree with BobbyBBall. We shouldn't divdide people up by Stregth. Here's my suggestion:

Tulip Division
Sjax
gocubs
Chitoptr
Lance

Golden Apple Division
Patsox
Dish
Rob
Zumi

GalaxySharks Division
M_a_L
Bobby
LM117
Mariners

Note: The names for divisions aren't offical yet, we can be flexible if there are other ideas.

Basicly here's my thought process, every divison has a member from the first three divisons based on power of the team. This gives us a nice balance. But then we would have three leftover teams to insert some where. So we insert the last three teams, which you may notice are each from seperate classes of power, are inserted based on the sterngth of the rest of the division. As you can see, I assume that the Tulip division is the strongest (key word is assume, more on that later). So I put the leftover "Elite" division member (Lance) in that division. Since I assumed the order of strength in the division was the way gocubs posted this and also because I don't everyone's team that well, we can change up the divisions.

Thanks for reading my suggestions. I also think we should start this next season, for better transion purposes.

In case you haven't heard, I play SimYard too. Shocking, huh? :P

OK, who should I drop? I'm thinking Galindo, Roth, Wade, or Greig. Suggestions?

Here's an interesting idea: How about a MLBPPW SimYard Players HOF?

What I mean by players is the players on the forum members teams.

Any comments on this idea?

This is been asked a lot but why not make it happen this time I say
For my team I will base my players first because I know them best(these are just options)
I also think that the players have to have been with them for at least 3-4 years or so

DH - John Reyna(1916-1920)
.350 AVG
169 HR
720 RBI
300 Doubles
3,513 AB

Profile: Powerful force for 5 years on the team and had impressive numbers of 169 homeruns and 300 doubles and is the all-time teams leader in games, at bats, RBI's, HR, Doubles, Walks and average among more. He hit 39 homeruns and then 40 in 1916 and 1917 and hit over 20 in the last few but had a great average. Has been the player of this franchise and was once intentionally walked and walked a lot and had his best season in 1917 with a .394 average and 40 homeruns.

SS - Ronald Jennings(1916-Present)
.328 AVG
75 HR
611 RBI
237 Doubles
3,374 AB

Profile: Well not huge numbers for him, but he's been around from 1916 to now and is just behind Reyna is games and at bats also has the second most doubles and walks with the team in the history. He has hit .300+ in every year here except in '17 when he hit .276 with a career high 15 homeruns. Although 75 homeruns seem low, he's hit(in order of year) .348(rookie year in 247 AB), .276, .351(370 AB), .335, .332 and .342 with 13 homeruns already this season.

SP - Louis Berrios(1916-Present)
54-43 Record
3.91 ERA
130 GS (810.1 IP)
856 K
262 BB
6 CG
3 Shutouts

Profile: May not be the best candidate but was the first great pitcher for the Gators going 10-4 with a 2.39 ERA in his first season with the team. He has had ERA's over 4.00 three times but his ERA's in the other seasons were not bad at 3.22, 3.60 and 2.39 was his best season. Has more strikeouts than innings and his K/BB ratio is exceptional. Leads the franchise in wins, IP, GS, K, BB, CG and shutouts

SP - Robert Dagostino(1917-Present)
53-20 Record
3.39 ERA
93 GS (593.2 IP)
604 K
199 BB
3 CG
1 Shutout

Profile: Another candidate that may have a long shot. He has been the second winningest pitcher in Gators history by just one game and among starts with enough starts has the best winning % on the team. Has still put up great numbers somehow coming up big against some big teams to win. He had one erratic season with a 5.31 ERA in 1919 and has been over .500 in record for every season here. In his first two years in this franchise he went a combined 25-6 in 38 starts with around a 2.70 ERA. He had a 3.78 ERA in 1920 after his 5.31 in 1919 and is enjoying his best season since 1918 with a 9-4 record and a 2.79 ERA in 16 starts

LF- Christopher Smith (1910-Present)
Avg. .313
154 Homers
959 RBIs
100 SBs out of 161 tries

In my opinion, my best player I've ever got from interact. His numbers are declining, but he was a young power hitter when I got him.

I'll nominate one from my team.

Harold Barkman - RF/DH (1916-1920)

Barkman was arguably the best player in terms of Offense from 1916 to 1920. He set many team records, including HR (145), RBIs (752) and Batting Average (.410). He was the most feared batter in Mendenhals history, even hitting 52 HRs in 1916. In 1919, though, his statistics began to dwindle down and his home runs became soft doubles and base hits, and in 1920, officially retired from SimYard.

Hey guys I was thinking. If someone places a bid on one of your park players, even if you have a permit it may be a good idea just to let them have him. For example, I had a reliever in park last month and he was 40/33 at age 32. He was a decent park player and I didn't particularly want him to leave, but I decided not to try to sign him, because a player who is under contract cannot play in park. Sure, he is a good player to have in park but do I really want him in majors or even AAA for that matter? Maybe if you have a full permit you may want to sign him and put him in a low class like A or Rookie, but if even so you want to think first if it is really worth it. Just some advice.

only if he's a real prospect should you sign him.
if you use firefox, download greasemonkey, then cel's script fron cel450.com, it gives you, among other things, a caliber rating.

By the way, regarding the PPWorld Simyard HOF, it sounds like a great idea to me. I don't have anyone to induct though because everyone who is worth inducting is still playing.
