Not in the slightest. Jeter's been a Yankee his entire career and has been the face of the franchise for, what, 15+ years now? LeBron left Cleveland, where he was a messiah for a victory-deprived town, and has subsequently become hated by many for that reason, while hatred of Jeter pretty much just stems from him being part of the Evil Empire (He's sort of like Mike Mussina, in that he's "one of the good Yankees" as many would say. :P

Side note 1: I made a Cleveland joke today. I was talking about the Pirates' streak of losing seasons with someone, and I told them it was a Cleveland-sized stretch of futility. *shot*

Favourite player would have to be Cal Ripken Jr and George Brett (Royals) I haven't seen a current player that could even come close. But if it were a current player then I would go with McCutchen of the pirates or Jim Thome (always liked him as a player since he played originally for the Indians in the 90's
