Patriots Ready To Take On Capsized Dolphins
The Dolphins may be the defending AFC East champions, but are pitiful this season and just won their first game in New York last week. The Dolphins are last in yards per game, only average 12 points a game, last in running yards a game which they usual do well in, and are 28th in the league in points allowed, it's been a complete 360 from last years great turnaround. Newspaper predicts: Patriots win 31-10.

Patriots Dominate Weak Dolphins Team With Big Day from Faulk

Week 9 -- The Patriots experience their easiest win of the year as the Dolphins offense was absolutely gone only gaining 97 totals yards. Kevin Faulk was exceptional today catching 8 passes and 137 yards and a 1st quarter 74 yard touchdown, he also ran for 90 yards. In the 1st they scored on that Faulk TD and a Gostkowski field goal but Miami stayed in it with a field goal by Carpenter. In the 2nd Moss caught a 44-yard touchdown pass but Dan Carpenter kicked it through to make it 17-6 at half time. Moss caught his 2nd touchdown catch of the day from Brady and then in the fourth Edelman caught a 16-yard touchdown and the final would be 31-6. The Dolphins offense did absolutely nothing, they had only 7 first downs, average 1.2 yards a pass, Henne only through for 36.7 percent for his passes, the biggest play of the game was 10 yards and they in total got 97 yards. Brady threw 4 touchdown passes without and interception, Moss caught 2 touchdowns, Faulk had a big day, Welker caught 9 passes and Chris Baker caught his season high in receptions. All in all a good day for the New England Patriots defense and offense.

Patriots and Colts Renew Rivalry On Sunday Night Football
The rivalry that has been the Colts and Patriots will be renewed this Sunday Night. Indianapolis Colts will badly need this game if they want to turn their season around and get anywhere. They will be facing a 6-2 Patriots team that leads the league in passing yards but this Colts team is no slouch. It's 5th in the NFL in pass defense and 2nd in the NFL in total defense. This should be a good one. Newspaper Predicts: Patriots win 38-34

Late Touchdown Wins It for Colts in Crucial Sunday Night matchup

Week 10 -- The Patriots and Colts clashed on Sunday Night and Indy as the Colts won a key game to improve to 4-5. The Colts scored 10 points in the 1st quarter on a TD run by Addai and a Stover field goal and would go into half time leading 17-10. In the 3rd quarter the Colts and Patriots swapped field goals to make it 20-13 Colts going into the final quarter. With 9:57 left in the game, the Colts scored a key touchdown with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Pierre Garcon from Peyton Manning to make it 27-13. But the Patriots rallied. With 8:01 left Brady connected with Moss for a 29 yard touchdown catch to cut it to 27-20. But the Colts still had the ball and the lead as they headed into Patriots territory at the 30 yard line and 5:00 left in the game. But Manning made a rare blunder passing it to no one and getting picked off by Gary Guyton all the way to the Colts 38 yard line. In 5 plays, the Patriots moved up the field getting more contributions by Faulk, Moss and Baker but Wes Welker was shut down catching just 2 passes, and in the end a 15-yard touchdown catch by Chris Baker tied the game with 2:19 left in the game to make it 27-27. This set up a late win for the Colts, Austin Collie replacing an injured Dallas Clark, caught a 17-yard pass for Manning's 4th touchdown pass of the game and the 34-27 lead with 1:12 left. The Patriots had one more chance but it ended when Brady was picked off at the New England 39 yard line with 0:48 left, Addai ran for one first down and the Colts just took a knee for the big win.

The newspaper hasn't picked the Pats only twice so far... :P
Heh, Cleveland's going for the Lions' record here, it seems.
I would say that's pretty dang sad for Madden, but... it's Cleveland.
Great job, though, I need to see if my Wii will actually read Wii discs now, or if I need to get it repaired.

EDIT: Sorry about the loss, there, you must be killing yourself over losing to THEM. At least it ain't Cleveland.

Pats and Jets face off in another big game
The Patriots and Jets are set to face for the 2nd time this season for a 4:15 start in Foxburo. The Jets have lost their last 2 while the Patriots lost last week at Indianapolis against the rival Colts. A Jets win would put them in first place as they have a 3-1 division record and New England is 2-1 but a Patriots win and they will be in good shape moving forward. But the Jets are confident after beating them 28-12 in Week 2 at New York. Newspaper predicts: Patriots win 24-17

Brady Leads Patriots Rally With Late Win

Week 11 -- The Patriots took a big step in winning the AFC East after a 15-point comeback and a late win for the Patriots. The Patriots forced two turnovers in the 1st quarter, first Meriweather recovered a Thomas Jones fumble down inside the Patriots 30 and then in the red zone at the 12 a few minutes later, Jerod Mayo intercepted rookie Mark Sanchez so the 1st quarter would be a scoreless. Gostkowski kicked 2 2nd quarter field goals but a big 87-yard touchdown pass to Braylon Edwards and a 19-yard pass to tight end Dustin Keller with 12 seconds left in the half made it 14-6 at half time. The Patriots opened up the 2nd half with a 3rd field goal to make it 14-9. But Jones led the show for the Jets and did it again with a 42-yard play(it was called a run although it was a pass in the backfield) which set up a 27-yard TD catch by Jericho Cotchery with 5 minutes left to make it 21-6 Jets, the Patriots would get a 4th field goal late in the 3rd and so they went into the 4th down 21-12. With 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, the Patriots converted a 4th and inches on a short pass to Faulk and then Chris Baker caught a 2-yard pass from Brady a few plays later to cut it to 21-19 New York. The Jets started from the 19 after the ensuing kickoff but a false start and intentional grounding call put them at the 4 yard line. But Sanchez was sacked at the one yard line and New England thought it was a safety. It was challenged and they lost on an extremely close play and then Jones ran for 20 yards to put them out of trouble so instead of a tie game and Patriots ball, it was Jets ball at the 21 with the lead still. But plays later they had to punt and it was a beauty from Weatherford who punted it inside the 4-yard line with 6:50 left. But thats where Brady led the big drive. The Patriots running game helped run out the clock and Maroney ran for the Patriots first 100-yard runner of the season. A big play was on 4th and 2 at the 48 where Ben Watson made a 35-yard play with 2:09 left and put them into great scoring position. The Patriots ran it more but with 0:38 left, they scratched that idea and threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Moss to give them their first lead at 25-21 and they went for 2 to make it a 6-point game and Faulk ran it in to make it 27-21. But the Jets got life from a bad kick from Gostkowski starting them from the 40 of the Jets. After an incomplete pass, a 1-yard play and a 10-yard pass, the Jets had one more chance with 10 seconds left and no timeouts. So Sanchez completed it to Cotchery and came 5 yards from the end zone before Meriweather made the game saving tackle and time expired for the Patriots 7th win of the season.

Patriots Set To Take On Struggling Saints On Monday Night Football
After a late win last week, the 7-3 Patriots head to the Superdome, the home of the Patriots first Super Bowl ring.
The Saints have only been 2-8 this season with a lot of close losses. Their total offense is 3rd in the league but they allow 22.9 points a game and are 29th in total defense allowed. For this Monday Night football matchup, it will take an upset for the Saints to win. The Newspaper predicts: Patriots win 35-20

Defense Steps Up As Patriots Win Low scoring Monday Night Game

Week 12 -- The Patriots and Saints are known for good offenses and mediocre defense but that didn't prove to be the case on Monday Night Football in the Superdome. On the 4th play of the game, the Saints offense took a huge hit as they lost quarterback Drew Brees for the rest of the game after a sack by Adalius Thomas, 38-year old Mark Brunell had to replace him and he struggled but managed to keep his team in it. In the 1st quarter Hartley nailed 2 field goals and Gostkowski kicked one to make it 6-3. In the 2nd quarter, Tom Brady and Randy Moss hooked up for a 53-yard bomb like it was 2007 and made it 10-7. On the ensuing possession, Bush who had a 100-yard running game, fumbled the football, recovered by Meriweather after being knocked out by Brandon McGowan to give them the ball at the New England 34. But that would lead to a 44 yard field goal miss by Stephen Gostkowski who missed 2 field goals today and kept the Saints in the game and the Patriots would lead 10-9 at half time. In the 3rd quarter on the first drive, Maroney had fumbled the football at the New England 48. The play was challenge and reversed saying that he was down after the ball came loose, with this new life New England moved the ball for a 19-yard field goal and make it 13-9 and on the next drive after Brunell's 37 yard pass to Colston the Saints would end up having to go for a field goal and miss that one as well. The Saints and Patriots went back and forth with a combination or punts and incomplete passes by Brunell. But with 5:17 left in the game, the Saints went for it on 4th and 3 at their own 40 yard line and on a risky move Bush ran for 10 yards and a first down. But then Brunell was hit and loss the football recovered by Jerod Mayo at the 53 yard line and 4:01 left. But the Patriots got to the 39 yard line on 4th and 3 and instead of risking another field goal miss on a 50 yard + field goal try, they went for it and it was incomplete so the Saints got the ball back at the Saints 39. But with 1:24 left at the Patriots 43 and Mark Brunell was intercepted by Meritweather who already 2 fumble recoveries in the game. The Patriots got just one first down on a good run by Fred Taylor and kneeled it down to finish off the 13-9 victory over the Saints on Thanksgiving Weekend.
