When the Harper and the Phillies beat the crap out of the Yankees in the World Series, then he'll be playing in New Yankee Stadium. :P

Ypu did not just post that. By the time he actually plays in the bigs (he'll need to spend some time in the farm.) the phills might play the Al east in interleague agian. So maybe, but not likely. unless he wants to pitch, i don't think we would really need him.

as much as i'd like to see this guy be the next a-rod (without roids) i think he's gonna hurt himself swinging that hard, i mean, comeon, how many 16 year olds hit a ball 500 feet? even with an aluminum bat, that IMO is a bit strenuating on your arms and maybe your shoulders, if he tries swinging like that with a wooden bat, uh oh, lol, i mean as much as i wish i could do that (even though i have trouble hitting the ball 70 feet without it touching the ground  )
i'm mostly a pitcher, and prefer to stay one, and also, being able to hit like that might have "accussionss" of certain things behind them, anyways, hope he keeps it up, nothing like the long ball to get people excited (though as a pitcher, not something i like to see against me  )

Ok, Seriously He's either a once in a lifetime pitcher

or

He's taking steroids.

Comeon.... 570ft? When's the last time you've seen a major leaguer hit that? Whether it be in a game, or in home run derby.

And if he just swings and throws as hard he can, even if it is accurate, then he's not a good player (I don't think this is the case though). But I'm getting at that if he just throws as hard as he can, he's going to blow out his arm which I think is a good possibility.

There hasn't been this much hype on a 16 year since.... Who?

Did Babe Ruth take steroids? I'm not comparing him to Ruth, but he did things way more impressive then that or then this guy will. Also, it's much easiar to hit a long home-run against high-schoolers then it is against a major league. It's like a Major League player in triple or double a. It sounds like he's above his level, and that's why he is performing that well. Don't assum steroids on everything.

I've thrown two shutouts and hit a homerun in highschool, how come I'm not the best playing ever?

Seriously. This kid won't be able to be better than Ty Cobb/Josh Gibson/Babe Ruth/Mordecai Brown.

It doesn't matter if I can hit a ball a country mile, if I don't have the right mechanics, then I'm not going to make it very far at all.

Sad, isn't it, that steroids and drugs influence our national pastime so much?

Ok, so big whop... He hit one far too, it doesn't happen very often...

Lightning, I agree with you. Take a drug test then we'll see.

I don't think he's the greatest baseball player ever, we'll have to see.

I'm pretty sure you ave to sign papers in high school stating you won't take performance-enhancing drugs. With the "records" he has set I'm sure they must have taken a drug test for him or if not other high schools will have complained it like the people who organize high school baseball. Hence, he would not be on the cover.
