If you are drafted then you have no first name unless the manager takes pity on you and gives you one.

Yeah, I give out first names to all of my gray-bar players.

if you play for a team that has something to do with sharks, you better prepare to change your name to hammerhead or angel.

inserting a ball into a pitching machine repeatedly improves one's control.

if you are a closer, you may wanna hold off on inviting the ladies to see you play, especially if your team sucks.

if you are a pitcher, don't bother chasing the glove thief, you probably haven't worked on your running speed at all.

Notice how all the Japanese players are vastly overated in the game? Notice the game is Japanese? Hmm...

Oh, i'm sure it's just a coincidence.
Real catchers don't wear shin guards, and never get hurt running into the back stop (except that one time i broke Ruiz's collarbone!)
Spring training is really only 4 games.
5 men can't really run your rotation, you need at least 6 or a swing that starts all the time.
The only way to meet a doctor is to get injured, and then you can date her.

It usually makes me have an 8 man rotation...

And closers can go 38-39 in saves while having a 7.50 ERA

MVPedroia, Ortiz, and Daisuke Matsuzaka for 1000 owner points=fair trade.

Don't second-guess the manager; slower people make better pinch runners.

Everybody goes by their last name.

There are a lot of people on the "Successful Team".

Buying sushi at a place that sells steak is perfectly normal.

Do not believe the statistic that 51% of the population are girls; there are really 13 different women.

Hey - that steak line was already mine! Copycat!

and not everyone goes by last name; ever notice that Ichiro is named, well, Ichiro?

But other Japanese players aren't named that way...Saito, Matsuzaka, Johjima, etc.

I've always wondered about that. His full name is "Ichiro Suzuki" like the car, right?

Okay, sorry Alloutwar, I didn't see that.

Well, what I meant by the last name thing is that most players have their saved name as their last name. And in Success, they go by their saved name when interacting w/ people.

Ichiro is actually named Suzuki Ichiro...I think. If you notice Yao Ming, on the back of his jersey is Yao. I don't follow basketball that much, but I belive that's right, right?
