Apparently when I've been recording commentary in the past it must have been done by the microphone built into my laptop. For some reason that can pick up my voice just fine when I'm nowhere near it but the microphone attached to my headset can't pick it up from half an inch away.

In other news, I believe this forum is officially where I come to post random thoughts and discoveries that aren't relevant to anything.
