I've known a lot of friends that were in NHS (National Honor Society). It's mostly community service stuff, from what I've heard, but I was just short of the GPA required to be a member, so I don't have any experience in that.

NHS at my school, all you have to do is help with the blood drive, and then there's a big banquet at the end of every school year. Nothing major, at my school.
