that's where you sound like an idiot, like lol. Lets say the Yankees have been playing for a hundred years as of today, that means that 27% of the seasons they've played they've won a ws title, so you do sound like an idiot saying that they've won "only" 27.

I just learned "old" pitchers are always terrible. The more you know. If that's the case, then how did R.A. Dickey win the Cy Young last year, even though he was in his late 30's?

Not all old pitchers are terrible, but Peavy is on the decline: ERA: 2002- 4.52, 2003- 4.11, 2004- 2.27, 2005- 2.88, 2006- 4.09, 2007- 2.54, 2008- 2.85, 2009- 3.45, 2010- 4.63, 2011- 4.92, 2012- 3.32, 2013- 4.28
If that's not a decline, then I don't know what is.

So he was a good pitcher, then he was injured for two seasons, and then he was a good pitcher again. He still has great stuff, and fits the Boston clubhouse culture perfectly. He's not a good pitcher again. He's just average. Just because he was injured doesn't mean this is 2007 Triple-Crown Jake Peavy.
