Anybody think that Chris Davis will break the single-season home run record? He's already halfway there and we're a little bit after half season.

What do you guys think? He's at 37 right now and needs 74 homers to break Bonds' record.

No chance. He's on pace to barely break the AL record, and I'm not sure he'll even get that many. Teams will start walking him instead of pitching to him. Or they'll figure our his weaknesses.

I was gonna make a poll about this too. :P I think I'll make it Wednesday or something.

He said himself that he still believes that Roger Maris' record of 61 is the actual record, so, maybe he'll break that

He can say that all he wants, but unless the MLB voids Bond's, Sosa's, and Mcgwire's records, it's not.

However, that 61 is the AL record, and that in itself would be pretty historic. I mean, I don't think there's any way he gets there, but he'd at least break one record if he did.
