Do you remember that huge flu outbreak late last year? They probably had enough sicknesses to close school for a long amount of time.

No, we always have a week off in February. School wasn't cancelled or anything.

Yeah, the flu's pretty bad up in the northeast, so they take a week off to prevent mass spreading. It may have been done once a while ago after an outbreak, and just has stuck ever since.

Arguments over pointless things are hilarious to read. There are people over at Gamefaqs arguing over the enemies in The Last of Us being infected or zombies. And I'm just sitting here, reading, and laughing.

That's a neat idea. I usually get the flu once a year, where I'm throwing up, then a cold once a year, with a sore throat, stuffy nose, and that kind of stuff.

K, so I'm a 14-year old right.

Today, I played in a scrimmage on a 16U travel team. So, I come in to pitch. My friend, only 13, who is also playing for the team tells the catcher, "His pitches are nasty, so just try to catch them." in warmups, I threw a curveball and it dropped a lot and the catcher comes up to me and says, "Dude, that was filthy." Now all the kids on that team want me to play for the team because of my pitching. They're saying, "Come on Lucas, we need you man!"

Just wanted to share an experience.

That's awesome, Zero. Glad you get to have that feeling. Wish I would have started playing baseball earlier, though I might pursue it next year.

I got the flu this year, kept me out of school for a week. I haven't been that sick in a looooong time. Fevers of 102 are no fun.
