My A's in season mode are 71-26 at the All-Star break. Yeah.

Having some trouble getting some young guys I want through trades though. Maybe later on, because it doesn't seem like I can get the main ones I want by the trade deadline.

Also noticing some trades, some weird and some good. Dan Haren for Matt Cain was interesting but Ruben Gotay for Gavin Floyd, not so much (a blockbuster, MLBPP? really?). R.A. Dickey for Todd Redmond, Gallardo for Zobrist, me getting Longoria for Starlin, Matt Keller, and JHey, an aging Jose Contreras for an aging Mariano (still good at 95/E/E + level 4 CUT - 3.31 ERA), Papelbon for Coke..

Those trades are interesting...

Yep, makes you shake your head, doesn't it? Dickey's gotten a bit worse in-game with age, down to a 86/C/B with a lower knuckler if I remember right, but still, Todd Redmond?

Also, Kershaw (my A's) is the AL SP at a 2.53 ERA while Brooks has a 1.25 (crazy how he dominates in season mode with just an 83 mph fastball), Sale at a 1.78 ERA as my SU/MR, and Aroldis at 1.17 (don't remember how I pulled off getting him, but wow.. he's too good).

And Orlando Hudson, .357 with 17 HRs and 62 RBIs.. he wishes he could have a season like that again.

EDIT: Jesus, in August, Brooks is 15-0 with a 1.23 ERA, as a spot starter.

EDIT2, 3:14 AM: My A's are quite possibly the best team I've ever had in Season in this game. They eclipsed the record of wins (116) by 6 with 122 and just 40 losses. The next closest team (Braves) had 25 less wins.

Brooks went 20-0 with a 1.33 ERA as my swing man - he was unstoppable, setting the record for win % in a season. Kershaw went 19-2 with a 2.72 ERA, Felix: 17-6, 3.09, Gio: 16-4, 4.52, Miley: 16-3, 3.20, Harvey: 15-6, 3.83. Sale: 1.59 ERA, Bailey: 1.31, Aroldis: 1.14 with 42/44 saves, Chris Price: 2.04 in his rookie season, all out of the bullpen. And the lineup - Longo: .340/38/130, Bryce: .302/14/109, JUpton: .300/30/104, Hosmer: .293/37/117, Pence: .292/36/131, Posey: .286/17/101, Altuve: .281/14/89, Utley: .270/26/93, Carter: .268/33/114!

I stayed up all night, and took a 2 hour nap in the morning, because it is Christmas break

My friend stayed up until 6:30, then went to basketball practice at 10. I could not do that.
