Why not Swisher? And why the hell Brentz over guys like Kalish, Sweeney, or Nava? At least we know those guys are ready.

And I've never sold stuff on EBay, and I don't completely trust it.

Sweeney was non tendered and the other two could be bench until they decide if he is ready. The key thing is if he impresses in spring.
I just think Swisher is overated.

redsox, as for your 1B projection, if I had a team, I'd much rather have LaRoche instead of Reynolds. The O's non-tendered him for a reason: he strikes out WAY too much.

I will also agree that Swisher is a bit overrated, but he's a decent player nonetheless.

I would also. Just Reynolds is much cheaper than LaRoche,and then they might could get Anibal Sanchez.
Boston will be in a rebuilding phase most likely and signing long term deals with aging veterans is not something they should do.
Sign one year deals,hope something sticks and sell at deadline.
However,if there pitching rebounds they could make a run(They had one of the best offensive teams last year)
Im not saying Brentz will be starting,just that it will (hopefully) not be a huge signing like a Swisher or Hamilton,but a cheap one year deal or a rookie

WHOOOAAAAAA! :shock: I was NOT actually expecting that to happen! Got him for pretty cheap, too. If he pans out, the Cubbies will have either a solid everyday closer or a valuable bargaining chip for trades depending on where the rest of the team is at.

So apparently North Korean scientists have confirmed that unicorns existed. They found a rectangular rock with the words "Unicorn Lair" engraved on it, so it clearly must be real.
