Django looks good. Don't know if I'll be allowed to see it, though. I was able to see Basterds at my cousins house last year which was really good. Anyway, good review.

I just got back from seeing Argo with my dad. I'm not going to bother with a star rating or any semblance of professionalism: It was GOOD. Everything was intense the whole way through and I was always wondering whether or not they'd make it out alive even though it was a true story. Ben Affleck was subtle and believable in his role, and he and the other actors made the movie very believable as a whole.

Also, "Argo *(censored)* yourself."

Alan Arkin was great in that movie.

I think Afleck will get an Oscar nomination for his directing rather than his acting. Bryan Cranston and Alan Arkin could get nominated, though.

Okay, I know I've yet to give a real movie review, but I'd just like to give my two cents on the Oscar nominations.

First off, and anyone who has seen Argo will agree, BEN AFLECK GOT SNUUUUBED!!!!!!!

I was glad to see Life of Pi, Argoi and Lincoln get nominated, but I don't get why they only nominated nine films this year.

As a big fan of the movie, I was hoping The Dark Knight Rises would get a big nomination, especially Nolan for directing because he's been snubbed twice in the past, but that was more wishful thinking. However, cinematography and the score not getting nominated was a mistake. At least Skyfall was nominated.

The big contenders I would like to see that I missed would be Zero Dark Thirty and The Master.

Oh, and Seth McFarlane is hosting so I won't be watching.

But seriously academy, explain to me why Afleck got snubbed!

I haven't even heard of half the films nominated... And I haven't seen any of them

Bump.

The Gift: 10/10. Unique, gripping, thrilling, unpredictable. See it.

Ayy solid bump.

Looking back at my last post in this thread

Annnyway

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)

Only just got around to watching this recently and damn I wish I had done this earlier. This movie has a fantastic script from writer/director Shane Black along with hilarious performances from Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer and Michelle Monaghan. Perfect comedy noir.

9.5/10

Might take a stab at this, though I may be criticized lol.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

Absolutely stunning. James Spader is a perfect Ultron, and the light shed on Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and his personal life is amazing. It also brings out a slightly darker side that Marvel hasn't shown much before; showcasing each hero's darkest nightmares when Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) uses her powers on them. All in all, an incredible movie.

My rating: 9.5/10

Fun, funny, solid action, and they made the science part believable enough for me!

I wasn't impressed by the commercials, but from what I've heard, it sounds good. Hope to see it soon.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by Jurassoc World. It was fun enough and miles better than the other Jurassic park sequels.

Also this week I have a very hard decision to make. I can see the new Mission Impossible, The End of the Tour (David Foster Wallace movie) or Fantastic Four (I'm actually very curious to see just how much of a *(censored)* mess it is).

Probably won't spend money on F4, but still deciding between the first two. What do you people think?

see Mission Impossible, thats the sort of thing that's worth seeing in the theatre. the David Foster Wallace bio will be just as good on Redbox watched at home, right?
