Is there some reason you can't? It sounds like it just because of the way you said that. I'd definitely follow a log like that for at least a while, it'd be interesting to not be the only one.

I bought Marty Turco [84] for 900 and he's now my primary goalie, removing Engren and switching Taylor to backup. One more lineup change and I'll post how my lineup is now, so you don't have to look for every change to see what my team is.

Game 2:

Belleville Bulls at Reapers

Bulls: 0
Reapers: 4

Marty Turco got a shutout in his first game with the Reapers. Belleville's goalie in Malcolm Subban had a pretty great performance in net, but he had no support on offense and little defensive support as he got bombarded with shots, and some found their way in. Chris Pronger scored his first goal with the Reapers in this game, it took a little longer than expected of him, but he got one.

427 pucks for this game.

Is that the currency for buying players on that game?

Reading helps.

And yes.

Turco <3

Could you have auctioned off Engren to pick up pucks, like you can in Madden UT?

You can't sell cards you got from the free packs, and I haven't bought any packs myself, so I can't sell anything yet except the players I bought, which I wouldn't want to sell. Also, with no careers and pretty much no salary cap, nobody would really want to buy a 75 overall player anyway.

Looking at Patrice Bergeron now, though the price will probably jump over what I'd be willing to be like Krejci and Marchand did.

Game 3:

Kingston Frontenacs (finally a different team, first couple rounds were the same teams both times) at Reapers

Frontenacs: 0
Reapers: 8

Turco had another shutout today in a very one-sided game. Pronger scored goal 1 and 6, 6 being an end-to-end goal (based on the trophy the goal gave me, I guess he got it from behind our net then went all the way up the ice to score), extending his goal streak to 2 games.

463 pucks for this game.

After the game I took a quick look at the market and found Angela Ruggiero for 1200. One of two female players in the game, both were added as legends just this year. I think she must play for USA's national female hockey team. I'm either going to put her on third line defense or resell it, she's only 80 overall, so she really isn't good enough to be an impact player.

I'm trying once to resell Ruggiero for 7000, if it doesn't sell I will use it, I'll probably find good use for it later in the tournaments that requires 3 USA skaters (as well as 3 Russian and Finnish skaters).

Game 4:

Oshawa Generals at Reapers

Generals: 0
Reapers: 8

Turco posted his third consecutive shutout (4 saves) leading the Reapers to 8-0, and their second straight Rookie Cup win as they steamrolled the opposition all the way.

Reapers' Maxime Sauve won the first star of the game and was interviewed on his team's dominance:
"It really isn't fair, to be quite honest. I don't mean to sound arrogant, but these guys are nowhere near our skill level, that is obvious. Unfortunately we don't meet the requirements to join in any other tournaments, so it looks like we'll have to steamroll over all these rookies a few more times before meeting a greater challenge. It's a good confidence-booster at least."

1040 pucks from that including 550 tournament bonus.

Changes to my team:

Bought Marc Savard for 2000, bought Anton Volchenkov for 1250. I actually pretty much spent all my money at the moment, but my team is pretty well set for a while anyway.

Team is now:

3 1/2 star rating

Thornton [81] - Savard [83] - Caron [82]
Hordichuk [79] - Ebbett [79] - Armstrong [83]
Kramer [72] - Sauve [78] - Staubitz [78]
Martynek [78] - Hishon [75] - Akeson [77]

Zanon [80] - Seidenberg [82]
Pronger [84] - Franson [83]
Volchenkov [81] - Ruggiero [80]

Turco [84]
Taylor [76]

Ruggiero is officially the one to break the gender-barrier of the team.

Re-entered Rookie Cup (*sigh*), I wanted to do an exhibition game against a top team but it seems that function isn't working...

Game 1:

Barrie Colts at Reapers

Colts: 0
Reapers: 6

The Reapers extended their win streak to 9. Marc Savard scored a goal in his first game with the Reapers.

427 pucks for that game, on that note, a puck update. I have only about 3000 pucks right now.

If they're boring to follow, it doesn't even compare to how boring they are to play. Plus the tips that keep popping up that you have to close about 10 times a game are really annoying. "Move the right stick towards someone to hit them" I've won the last 9 games really easily, I know how to hit...

I'm setting up a team to enter another tournament, but unfortunately from what I've heard, the other tournaments may be broken and impossible to enter. If you've never played HUT, this really isn't anything new though, HUT has had several game-breaking bugs since being introduced in NHL '11. If it didn't it would easily be my favorite thing in the world.

Got Orlov [82] for 1500, he's replacing Volchenkov.

Game 2:

Brampton Battalion at Reapers

Batallion: 0
Reapers: 8

Greg Zanon had 4 goals, Ruggiero scored her first goal in this game.

428 pucks for this game.

Bought Tyutin [84] for 1050, he'll replace Orlov.

Game 3:

Kingston Frontenacs at Reapers:

Frontenacs: 2
Reapers: 7

The Reapers dominated again, but they gave up their first goals in recent memory.

472 pucks for this win. Reapers are now 11-0, how boring...

I can do the log, I just need to have time to type all the stuff out and type in the logs, I suck at goalie so it'll be a challenge for me. And yes the rookie tourneys are boring as heck

Game 4:

Missisauga Steelheads at Reapers

Steelheads: N/A
Reapers: N/A

Directly before the game started, it was decided that to be fair the Reapers would be eliminated without actually playing the game. The players were all gathered for the puck drop, then the referee just turned to the Reapers and told them they lost.

This moves the Reapers record to 11-1, their only "loss" coming in the finals.

With this, now instead of playing 9 more games to be able to move to another tournament, I now have to play 12 again...

No pucks for this.

Not sure what I'm going to do now. I think at least I'll stop giving updates for a while, there's just no point and it's tedious to do on such repetitive and pointless games.

I meet the requirements to enter a 4 star difficulty tournament, so I think that would be a nice challenge. But because HUT is required to have a minimum of 5 major glitches at all times, I can't enter it even though I do meet the requirements.

I think I may enter the Rookie Cup some more times and play some minor exhibition games against the CPU for fun while I'm on a break from updates. I'll get back to updating when the game allows me to enter a more difficult tournament. Or if I get a great team before that happens, I'll start updating again then and play some online games instead.

...

Well, I just typed that up, so I'm not deleting it all, but I found out it doesn't really matter. Some point along the line they must have sneakily removed the "minimum trophy" requirement on the other tournaments, for example, it would have required tournament wins to enter the next one, but those were removed... So I guess I'll enter the Pro Challenge tournament, 3 star difficulty, 675 reward for winning, and it's against AHL teams.

I should have an update next, hopefully I don't get disconnected from EA's terrible servers for no reason and have to come up with another stupid excuse for it.
