I decided to go as fast as possible and made it up in a dizzying 13 seconds (+3). Afterwards I saw the coach with a little bit of a smile on his face.

After World History, I went to the locker room to change into my baseball clothes. I then went to the ball field, where I met up with Drew and played catch. Coach Norman Dodd then came out and got the team together on the mound.
"Alright," he said,"Everybody take your preferred position and I'll hit some to you."
I took my position along with a senior named James Rines. Coach hit a grounder to the 3rd Basemen, then hit a grounder to James, who fielded it cleanly but threw it low so that the 1st Baseman had to scoop it out of the dirt. The coach then hit a zipping grounder to me. What should I do?

I went to the dugout and picked my favorite bat and stepped up to the plate. I was matched up against John Rogers, a good pitcher with a decent slider and a decently fast fastball, basically completely average. I stepped in and got in my stance. What should I do?
