The game does have Season Mode, but no Success mode. For some reason, the "edit player" option is locked, and the Mets are missing K-Rod. Overall, I think it is disappointing for diehard fans of the series. I can't find an option for advanced pitching, and without being able to edit players, I don't know if they have special abilities. It does have good stat tracking in Season mode and the gamplay is true to the PP style. I think it's worth the 10 bucks if you want to play online, but overall there's just not enough there.

I haven't played it very much, but I'll answer any questions if anyone is thinking about buying it.

Do you have the full game as this may be the case things are still locked?

I paid for the full game ($10). When I go down to Edit Player, it says "MLB Bobblehead Battle Bonus" with a graphic of a locked key. Maybe it has to be unlocked by completing achievements? I really don't know. I'll search around online to see if the naswer is out there.

I found out at this article http://www.xboxhornet.com/wordpress/?p=8034 that you have to buy upcoming downloadable content to unlock "edit player". The article has more details if you are thinking about buying the game.

I bought the game immediately. The controls and game play is 100% Power Pros. Only a few little gripes about controls; wish they displayed a character off-screen cursor to help, also option to switch your fielder, and wish you could pre-load fielder's throws and calls to the base runners (runner's stop at each base, can't get them to run right through it to the next base).

For batters settings (vs AI) you can only remove the strike zone. When batting vs AI, there is no way to remove the pitch cursor or type indicator... but oddly you can remove them when you are pitching. But when you are online, you don't see the opponents pitch selection (only types) or cursor... just the ball of where it will end up crossing the plate.

Online the options are very limited... 3/6/9 innings, everything else is locked. Can't see pitching cursor or pitch type (as described above). Time limits for games (9 innings is 30 min, 3 innings is 15 min, not sure about 6) and pitches (20 seconds each). Plays well online, having lots of fun with a few friends of mine.

It is well worth the $10 it is currently priced at. But waiting for the Home Run Derby (w/ all-star teams) and the "My Bobble/BobbleHeadBattle" areas to be offered. I am hoping that "My Bobble" is a bit like a success mode. But we'll also want to wait for pricing of each.

There is a way to turn off the pitching cursor in Exhbition and Season mode. In season mode, you have to wait until the beginning of the game (warmups if you are pitching first), then go to Controller Setup. From there you are able to set both yours and the CPU's pitching cursor. It took me forever to figure this out.

I was ready not to play the game at all if I couldn't remove the cursor while I was batting. Let me know if you get it or not. If not' I'll explain it better.

Alright, so after looking at a few videos of this game, my opinion is a little bit better of it. Power Pros Productions actually helped make this game, which left me wondering why they couldn't have just continued on the actual Power Pros Series. The game still doesn't look all that bad, though. However, I'm probably just gonna buy the NPB version, because I would just feel better playing a game with "Power Pros" (or the Japanese translation of Power Pros) on the title.

Anyways, there's my two cents, use them however you may. ;)

The main appeal of it for me was finally being able to play online. If none of you guys are going to get it, though, there's not much reason for me to get it.

If Power Pros Productions helped make the game, then that means they didn't just completely make a rip-off of everything, which is mostly what irritated me in the first place.

However, the two biggest thongs for me that set Power Pros apart from other baseball games are the graphics, and Success Mode. The graphics on this game completely weird me out. It's like the took pawapurokuns (that's their official name, right?), and removed every trace of the old style and charm. What you have left turns out to be these clunky bobbleheads. So, a definite minus there. Perhaps, they've included a Success Mode-like feature, which is what they'll need to salvage this game. And the Online is definitely a bonus, although it looks like most of you will not be getting the game, thus killing most of the original reasons I wanted to see online in Power Pros.

So to sum up, I will not be getting this game:
1. I don't have a PS3 or XBOX.
2. The graphics are atrocious. It looks like Toontown Online featuring the Big Head Card Players from Upper Deck.--If you understood the mental picture there, kudos.
3. This game looks like it could end up overpriced by the time these "updates" are done.
4. If this game succeeds then Power Pros in America is doomed.
