But they'd ask for Anderson, Buchollz and Bowden at least which might already be too much for me...

Plus its not like he's 25, he's somewhere inhis 30's so I wouldn't give up Bucholz, Bowden and Anderson who are the future of our team

Hold your Horses. He hasn't gone anywhere yet.

I personally think he won't go anywhere. He's the Jays franchise player, but really he isn't worth as much in trade value as he does to the Jays. The Jays need him or else they fall to shreds, for other teams he is just another puzzle piece. Other teams probably won't trade high scale prospects for Halladay. Even if he is the best pound-for-pound (not exactly statistically) pitcher in the game right now.

imo it would take a hell of a lot for the Jays to deal Halladay especially to a division rival. unlike teams such as the Pirates and Padres, the Jays being are still in the hunt for a playoff seed and probably won't give him up for future prospects at this point despite being 9 games out.

i doubt it, i mean he's played for the Jays how long? and hestill hasnt left, i doubt he'd leave them if he hasnt these 10 years or so that he's been playing, and the jays wouldnt trade him, thats like the giants trading Tim Lincecum for Eric Eybar, Brandon Wood, and Joe Saunders, as much as i hate for that kind of trade not to happen, its just not likely (though i wouldnt mind the angels getting Lincecum) :D

other than the fact of being division rivals for his whole carrer, i can understand that, but the ranger or rockies i dont see a reason why it'd be those two, by the way, does anyone know if Halladay has a no-trade clause? :?

That just means he can't be traded unless he approves of it, first.

the real question is: Why would he? i mean, how long has he been in the majors? over 10 or so years i'm sure, and i'm pretty sure with how good he is, if he wanted to win or play for another team,(because i have no doubt in my mind if he played for another team like the Yankees or Red Sox or Angels or dodgers or (insert your team here if they're good enough) , he could win 300 games, but with the jays i dont know) he would of by now, i seriously doubt that he'll accept a trade, because i'm sure the Jays get at least one trade offer for him each year

also for those who dont know, Ryan Church of the Mets has been traded to the Braves for Jeff Francour, fair trade? what do you guys think?

(when i saw this on FSN it showed up as a bar that said Division Trade, and i was like "oh god!" thinking Halladay actually got traded to the red sox, which wouldnt make it any easier on the angels if they make the playoffs and face the red sox, well, as long as roy stays with the Jays or doesnt go to the sox or rangers, i'm fine with it, or maybe the yanks, not to sure if it would really help them much, lol, and dont get me wrong, i want those damn yankees to win their division, that way the angels wont have to face the red sox, becuase the angels almost *almost* always beat the yankees, in fact their the only team that has had a winning record against the yankees in the last 20 or so years, 68 to 57 ) :D

Interesting swap of OF, that and the Mets get a little cash. Not often you se interdivsion trading. It's going to be risky for one of the teams espcially if one of them heat up.

Also, I agree. If Halladay had been on a winning team that consistently contends he probably could eclipse the 300 hundred win mark. It's going to be tough to see another 300 game winner. Sabathia might be able to to (emphasis on might). If Halladay goes to a different team that contends and he gets run support he might be able to get to 300.

Right now it's pretty even, but considering that Francoeur is only 27 he certainly has plenty of room to improve, plus he's one of the best defensive outfielders right now. I would say the Mets got a better trade (darn it!)

Halladay needs to go to the Phillies. They're the perfect fit for him. However I don't know whether Reuben Amaro is willing to give up the high toll of prospects for Halladay.
