wright has 50 HR potential, not to mention upside on every one of his other stats.
he already hits for contact as well as a-rod, and his speed is just as good.

A-Rod can produce homeruns in the Postseason? Odd. I heard he bats under .100, with barely any homeruns. My point stands, he's overrated.

What does that have to do with post season? If you can produce 50 HR in a season, how does that make you overrated. If he is so overrated, is there another player that had 35 HR, 100 RBI, 100 Runs for 12 straight seasons?

no, but you can't judge someone on hitting alone.

also, adam dunn is a beast, and underrated.
40 HRs and 100 walks the past 5 seasons (take that, a-rod!).

With the money they pay some of those players they should expect a .450 average and 80+ home runs.

He only hit fifty home runs when he was juicing, with the exception of 2007. With that said, he only has one possibly legit fifty home run year.

Anyway, this argument is pointless. I'm arguing with a non-sensible Yankees fan. Let's get back on topic.

Zach Duke is underrated. If you put him on a winning team (I love the Peg Legs but come on...), he has the possibility of racking in fifteen wins a season. If a guy like Curt Schilling showed him how to pitch, he could be on a equal level with Beckett.

What are you guys talking about Rivera being overrated? He's one of the most complete closers in the game, he can strike people out and most importantly he doesn't walk people, he had a low ERA and only blew like 1 save

Just in case anyone doubted my point, just look at USA against Puerto Rico. Jeter's error gave P.R. the fifth run, a play that Jimmy Rollins (who is playing DH) would have made.

Don't say that, ever! If there is one thing I learned in my years of playing baseball it's not saying something like "Oh, if I'd been on the field I would gotten him out." NEVER say that, you don't know you might mess up too. Do you know for a fact that Rollins would have stopped that? NO you don't beacause he wasn't on the field and even Jimmy Rollins commits errors. Not one player that has been playing for a long time can say "I've never commited an error" it's just part of the game and Rollins might not have stopped that.

How is Rivera Overrated? That's not true.

A-Rod can be overrated, but he can also be underrated at some times.
