I don't like Bush, either, but I do support Obama. Still, I respect the president of the United States. It's the toughest job in the world. If you don't like him, then vote him out. If you think that you have better ideas, then get a campaign going and run for it yourself. That's why America is such a great country.

just a comment on what cownip said about Obama using propaganda: Propaganda is when you promise to do something as a political leader but instead break your promise. Adolf Hitler is a prime example. But Obama hasn't done anything yet. You can't say he's using propaganda if he hasn't even done anything.

Where did you get that definition? That's not what propaganda is, though Adolf Hitler did use propaganda as well.
Propaganda:

1. A congregation of the Roman curia having jurisdiction over missionary territories and related institutions
2. The spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person
3. Ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause ; also : a public action having such an effect

Obiviously, 1 has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. But 2 and 3 do describe propaganda. There is nothing wrong with it, he has spread ideas and information to further his cause, which is becoming president. Propaganda is used by every single leader in the history of man kind in some way or another. Even in tribal and very basic civilizations, but nothing to the extent that it is used today. So I would say he has used propaganda, and he did it very well.

I don't blame Bush....I blame all the idiots that VOTED HIM IN TWICE!!! Now they are the ones that say how bad he was but they voted for the idiot so what does that say about the person that voted for him?!

Agreed
Bt there aren't any candidates who in that time who I think couldn't do more than Bush.. so in my opinion we're forced to choose him..
anyway, who could foresee the future? We didn't know what's going to happen when we chose Bush.. but he's the best option we got back in 2004 election

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has it's own reason for existing. "It's clearly a budget. It's got a lot of numbers in it."
"I think if you say you're going to do something and don't do it, that's trustworthiness."
"I understand small business growth. I was one."
"Our priorities is our faith."

But yeah, think how much different this country would be with Gore or Kerry.

I don't agree. I blame Bush and the people who voted for him the second time. He shouldn't have won the first time, in one area of Flordia the vote was mis-managed. You missed my favorite Bushism.

"There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, it's probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on ... shame on me. It fool me. Fool me twice..,, We'll, you won't fool me fool again."

No, that's not at all what he was saying mate. What he was saying is that you may not agree with what I've done, but you have to agree that i didn't shy away from making those tough decisions. He's saying that he didn't try to take the easy way out and took hard decisions. I suppose I agree with him, but I don't agree with the vast majority of his decisions. Obviously he did what he thought was right, as does everyone. No one thinks there doing the wrong thing.

i'm just saying that that's how people can interpret it.

Yup.
Anyway, i'm not big-into politics, but Obama seems like a good person, and a family-oriented guy. I'd be more than willing to look past a few of the thigns i don't like in him (namely, pro-abortion) if he can explain how he plans on withdrawing our troops (and creating an opening for terrorists to coem onto our soil), and then taking away guns, a menas of protection, while keeping us safe.

STOP THE FREEDOM OF CHOICE ACT! If it is passed, the G'Ment will have to promote abortion! Your taxes will be used to promote abortion! You will not be allowed to try to stop someone from aborting their child! Every catholic hospital will have to close if the FOCA is passed! Stop it Obama, or we'll all pay severely.

Overpopulation is a large problem. So is parents - young, uneducated, unprepared parents - being coerced into keeping their child. that can ruin several lives - theirs, their parents' and the childs.
I don't think abortion should be 'promoted', but this every-sperm-is-sacred stance is just going to lead to billions and billions of us in every city. Ever think of the long term effects? Or is everyone jsut polarized by the institutions telling you it's 'wrong wrong wrong, murder death sin wrong'
