I'm serious.

I'll back that. Also, you can back as many as you like (one per nom., though) but only one nomination. I nominate my phills.

The cardinals fans probably have the most baseball intelligence.

No, the best baseball fans are the Rays, Pirates Royals etc. They suck, yea but you don't see nobody coming to the game, not many do but those that do are real baseball fans supporting their team from April to Sept. They deserve to be the best team to stcik with their team.

Rays are, what, 22-4 when they have over 30,000 fans in attendance.
that's 16% of their games!

Detroit has the best fans, look at all we've been through and 2006 was a godsend for Detroit. pfft, Phildephia, Boston, NY, Chicago. They'll have anytime to win, in Detroit we don't care if you laugh at us or not but when we come back and start winning again. We are not a force to reckoned with, Believe me, we're not (Pistons in 04', Wings last season, Tigers in 06') but the lions? feel free to laugh at them, I don't care. (NY Giants fan I am)

Chicago Cubs-Sox
Boston-New York
Philly-Pittsburgh
Are the three worst rivalries I have seen in my life time outside of the
Detroit-Cleveland shendig

Didn't Detroit just win a Stanley Cup? Philadelphia fans are starved for a major championship and continue to support their teams in merchandising and attendance. Living in or around Philadelphia all my life I can only attest to the fact that Philadelphia fans are passionate and that can be both a negative or positive thing. The idea that Philadelphia fans are always negative or somehow don't support their teams is absurd. Outside of hockey, there hasn't been a serious Philadelphia/Pittsburgh rivalry in a long long time. Phillies-Mets has been a fun rivarly.

I'm pretty biased, but most of us will jump up to defend our own. Outside of Philadelphia I'd tip my hat to St. Louis fans who are a lot like Philly fans only without the stingers. Outside of baseball I'd mention Green Bay and Steeler fans too.

BTW: I do nominate St. Louis, their fans respected the 500th Home Run that Ken Griffey Jr. hit at their park, because they knew that they were witnessing a legend. That deserves some respect.

Cincinnati however, Some of the worst fans  they don't really know much about how Professional Sports works, and they expect our teams to be great every year, sure they don't give up faith, but thats because they are stupid. I like the Reds because they are one of the Best Franchises in the History of Baseball, but the Bengals blow, the fans are retarded, 2005 was a fluke and Marvin Lewis needs to be ousted. Oh yeah and take Dusty Baker with you.

i nominate the pirates, if nobody has yet. our team hasn't had a winning record in, what, 16 years now? We're still loyal and heading out to every game.

yep, im biased. and proud of it!

If we barely get 1,000,000 people to come to 81 games, then we don't have very many loyal fans. Also, half of those people came just to see the pierogy races. :) Our 7 sellouts this season were the Yankees series, Skyblast (huge fireworks show + music for not Pittsburghers), and Opening Day. And about the rivalries, I went to a Bucco-Philly game this past season, and there were more Philly fans there than Pirates fans, so I guess if I had to pick two teams to nominate, they would be the Red Sox and Phillies.

Let's see, which minor league lineup will the Pirates put together today?
