Because they only want their team to win it. I don't want any other team besides the cubs to win it, even if the cubs get knocked out.

i'd like to see either of the 2 chytown teams (cubbies one step closer celebrating w/ the bubbles as i type), the rays, and even the angels. it would be cool to finally see vlad win it all.

The Yankees. Haha, I doubt that's going to happen though. In the AL, I've been very dissapointed and the only team I like that's in there are the Rays. I kind of like the White Socks, but not as much as the Royals (don't ask) or Tigers. I really don't like the Angels (Those gerks, playing well against the Yanks, who do they think they are haha) and don't get me started on Boston. I've always liked the Rays and its nice to see a new team do well (although I'd rather they weren't doing so well because then the Yanks would have the wild card). In the NL, I like every contender besdies the unlikely D-Backs and the Phillies. I love the Dogers because of Joe Toree, I like the Cubs because of Pinela, the type of good baseball they play, and the fact that I want them to break the curse. I also like the Mets because they from New York, and I love every New York Team (which is why I don't like the Phillies). Finally, I like the Brewers because Prince Fielder is a vegetarian like me. So, the AL is easy but the NL isn't. I'd like the Dodgers (playing the Mets) to win because I'm still bitter about Randolph this year and I want Torre to do well. I want the Cubs to beat the Phillies. I need the Cubs to be the Dogers because its the 50th anversary since the Dodgers left and I know too many broken-hearted New Yorkers to root for then to make it there this year. Next year, why not? Then, I'd be happy either way. I'd like the Cubs of course to break their "curse" (how can a curse about a goat be real?) though I'd love for the Rays to get a WS as this might be the last year in a long time I can root for them, their getting too good.

yeah, i'd also like to see the yanks, royals, and blue jays win though i had only mentioned teams still in playoff contention.

Too bad i cant say the Phils, but i would say the Yanks in a game 7 at Yankee's stadium where A-Rod jacks 3 home runs in a game.

Well Yankees haven been 100% elminated yet, all it takes is for REd Sox to lose the rest of their games.

the twins have to do terribly as well. And the yanks have to win their last 5.

Since my beloved Reds can't seem to win anything (since 1990), I would have to pick the Cubs.

Actually, while unlikely, I wouldn't count the Yankees compleatly out. If they win the next three and Boston loses the next three, the Yanks have a chance to sweep and beat the Red Sox. Very unlikely, yes, but certainly possible. The Indians are on a 8 game winning streak and beat becket yesterday, cliff lee will almost certainly win, and byrd will probably lose. The problem will be thursday with lester. Mussina will probably win todays and same with aceves. The problem is pavano/ponson,though my guess is that ponson will end up pitching and he has done well this year. He'll just be facing roy halladay (yikes!). So, there is a pretty noticable chance and its certainly not impossible. Its not unheard of for the Red Sox to lose 3 and a row and the Yanks to win 3 in a row. Its just very unlikely again, but lets hope for the best.

Phillies clearly! I wouldn't mind the Rays, White Sox or Angels winning it otherwise.

Why? I like him a lot personally, he's one of my favorite manager. His creative style of managing is usually not by the book but sometimes inegenious.
