"This is very complicated guys, keep up.."

Yeah. It's very complicated. And I couldn't give two shits about it. It means nothing to me.

This shit is why I haven't taken a math class in a year. It's awesome.

Plus, I don't need it (mostly basic stuff, though) for the profession I want to go into.

Right. I'm not taking another Math as a senior (only 3 years is required). You should only have to learn this far if it's for your profession, i.e. you can go to college specifically for it.

Math isn't so much about the specific numbers and equations. It's more about problem solving and thinking logically. It's about trying to think through the process and break down the problem in easier, manageable parts. Don't focus so much on what you're doing, and instead focus on how.

Yeah, I hate math as well, but I gotta agree with Skittles, here.

It's a shame this thread never got used this year, but since my year is basically over, I might as well bring it back to life.

Junior year was weird. Academically, it was just okay, but that was to be expected with 5 AP classes. Calculus was the only real struggle, as I hovered around a low C most of the year. I've more or less taking the class again next year.

APUSH was awesome, as I had the greatest teacher ever. He's just a really funny, cool, lonely, dude. And while maybe not the best teacher I've ever had, definitely my favorite, and I'm certainly gonna miss that next year.

Computer Science, Psychology, and Lang were whatever. Okay teachers, I got good grades, probably passed the AP exam, whatever. I probably won't have tons of memories about these classes 10 years from now, but they were okay while they lasted.

Physics was amazing. The class itself was really easy for me, so I kinda got "smartest kid in the class" moniker, which was cool. I also met some amazing girl in there, and, well, I could probably write a novel all about her.

We started as just friends, and then I stupidly developed a huge crush on her. Way different than how I've felt about other girls. We get along really well, but I've been relegated to "Best Guy Friend" status at this point. I suppose that's not surprising, considering she's a 10 and popular while I'm a 3 and not. It was never gonna happen.

But it kills me when she tells me all about her and other guys, especially considering she knows how I feel. My friends say I should drop it, cut ties with her, and move on, but I can't. Maybe I'm just torturing myself, but she seems to actually care about me and enjoy my company, and I don't really want to lose that. Ugh... I don't know what I should do.

Speaking of friends, this is the first time I've actually starting hanging out with the guys regularly. It's nice to actually have stuff to do on the weekends rather than just sit around. It's probably the main reason my time here has dwindled.

Summer will probably be whatever. No vacations, I'll probably have to spend 4 weeks at my dads, but I'm going to a Rays game with that girl on 6/24, so that should be fun. And I'll probably have more time to spend with the guys, so that's nice too.

I'm not sure if anyone is actually gonna read this, but oh well. I liked putting a summary of my last 8 months into words.

My second full year in college was definitely interesting. I had four classes this year, and got three 4.0's and a 3.5 for final grades.

The 3.5 I got was in Sociology. I was warned by literally everybody that this class was gonna be super-hard, and I had to get the hell out of there. I didn't, and I fared pretty well, only fretting too much about the big 8-page paper due near the end of the semester. It was also one of the last classes my professor taught before she retired at the end of the year.

I somehow managed to do well in my Environment and Society class. The professor describes it as a "discussion" class, related to the issues of the environment and the effects it has on society, but it's hard to do that when there are only 4 people in the class at any given time, and the class felt like a mess, especially when I had no clue at times when due dates were. I gave the class a bit of a scathing review on our evaluation sheets near the end of the semester.

My College Algebra class was OK, even though I missed an entire chapter when I was sick for a class period. Don't get sick in college, kids. :P The prof also nominated me for one of the "Faculty Recognition of Student Achievement" awards, but the ceremony for that is an entirely different story.

Finally, I had a Psychology of Social Media class. That class was goofy as hell, mostly because it had the two goofiest professors in the school, who have a love-hate relationship with each other. The only big thing in the class was a Social Media Analysis of a small business, but I really liked the class a lot.

Outside of classes, I became a lot more open to new experiences. I got my driver's license, and bought a car with my hard-earned money. I also hung out a lot more with my group of friends I've gained throughout my two years at Community College, which really helped me break out of my real-life shell. I also went out with a girl I met at school a couple times, but during the second time, she said she didn't want there to be anything "weird" between the two of us, and was fine with just being friends, so I'm not sure how to proceed with that from a relationship standpoint.

Oh yeah, and I graduated from said Community College (though I'm going back for another semester to finish up degree credits), and then transferring to a 4-year college in my area next winter. Overall, it was a decent semester, and I can't wait for next fall, and the next stages of my life.

My current schedule:

1: Honors Physics (great teacher)
2: Honors Pre-AP Spanish (guarantee I'll drop to regulars within the first 9 weeks)
Tutorial (snack), Advisory
3: Pre-Calculus (how about no)
4: Honors Digital Production
Lunch
5: AP Language & Composition (I didn't even sign up to take this class)
6: US History (world >>> us so yeah)
7: Study Hall (best study hall possible)

alright so let's go back through this:

1. Honors Physics - yeah, teacher is a really great guy but class is awful. I've never gotten a C in my life...that is, if you throw out the C+ I got first semester and the C+ I currently have this semester with two days of class + the final (only final I have to take) left...it's been fun at times but it's also probably my least favorite class of all time.
2. Honors Pre-AP Spanish - I didn't drop to regulars but I did quit doing the honors assignments about halfway through the year...My teacher thinks I'm literally the greatest Spanish writer of our time though so it's okay
3. Pre-Calculus - "how about no"? Very funny, past me. This is easily my favorite class this year and perhaps even my favorite class of all time. I've maintained a solid A all year and I've learned a ton about different things, including some statistics knowledge.
4. Honors Digital Production - The past month or so in this class has consisted mostly of me doing my homework and/or fooling around on the Internet all class.
5. AP Language & Composition - liked the class, hated the exam. probably still got a 3 because I think I did well on the reading comp
6. US History - did pretty much nothing in this class except for the 10 page research paper we wrote (my subject: Honus Wagner)
7. Study Hall - perks of having 7th period study hall: getting out early to change/eat before baseball

looking forward to next year when I'll have a bit more of an interesting schedule...AP Statistics, AP Lit, Gov/Econ, Forensics...AND I'M DROPPING SPANISH WOOOOOOOOOOOO

My turn! Junior year was pretty meh.

-Algebra II was actually easier than Geometry, I thought, but I'm getting an A- currently. Should prolly get that to an A by the end of the year.
-I hated Personal Finance cuz the teacher is an idiot, but I still ended up with an A on the semester so whatever. I had Phys. Ed. 2nd semester during 2nd hour, and I've kinda hated that too. We've been playing volleyball for 2 weeks now, instead of going outside and doing something. :(
-Chemistry was a lot of learning, but the teacher is pretty good and now at the end of the year, we've been doing multiple labs a week which has been fun.
-Conservation and Wildlife was fun, we learned quite a bit and the teacher is awesome and it was a good time.
-AP U.S. History was the worst class I've ever taken. I like history but our teacher gave so much homework that it totally ruined it. Ended up with like a 97% in the class though, and I'm pretty sure I passed the test which is all I really cared about.
-American Lit. sucked quite a bit, it's pretty boring and the teacher is really old school and lectures a lot.
-Spanish II was the best experience I've had in a Spanish class, taking it via distance learning. The instructor was really good and she never gave out a ton of homework, and she loves me.

Outside of school, I worked a lot in the fall, so I didn't really do much. I ended up spending a lot of time with a certain girl during the winter, and thought I liked her, but she flipped on me for having a different girl on my snapchat BF list, and so I called her crazy and don't talk to her any more. So yeah, also found out that chicks dig beards. This spring, I've been hanging out with my male friends a lot, which has been a ton of fun, fishing, golfing, and playing basketball at the court in town. I've had hardly any HW since APUSH ended, which has really freed up my free time, after having hardly any during basketball season. I also discovered that I hate baseball, and probably won't go out next year. Basketball season was a ton of fun, and we actually made it a few games into the playoffs. Recently I've gotten a few letters from colleges about potentially playing basketball, so that's pretty cool.

This summer, I've gotten my old summer job of pulling weeds back, making $8.50 an hour this year. Hopefully I can build my bank account back up after paying for half of a $3500 '05 Impala in November. So yeah, heading into the summer before my last year in HS, I am single, have no idea what I want to do in life, but I plan on having fun this summer.

guess I'll *(censored)* say something. I'll give u the Run-Thru if that's what you're after

Englis H : this class was great because I have a huge crush on my teacher & I maintained an A the whole time without even dropping to A- status ever
Italia N : *(censored)* this shit this is the first C I've ever gotten in my life. my teacher has emailed my mother twice about my apparent sarcasm. *(censored)* U. she bought the girls in our class shirts to blackmail them into behaving. really quite funny to watch
Physics: this class is atrocious but it's pretty easy
Pre-Calculus: this class is atrocious but it's pretty easy. lot of my good friends are in it including the girl I'm crushing on big time. I asked her out last year but she said no. I think she might like me now though. famous last words
US History II: this class is great. I have a lot of friends in it & it's so laidback. good fun
*(censored)* Band: it's *(censored)* band who cares

next year's gonna be badass, I get my license in two weeks unless I fail, I'm getting a car, this summer's gonna be Chil

This hasn't been a great year school wise. Kinda looking forward to next year, but not really.

Anyway,

Latin 2: *(censored)* this. I've been stuck between a B- and a C+ all year. Boring as hell and not useful at all.
Algebra 2: *(censored)* this one too. I got like a 63 last marking period after my original teacher left, but I'm finishing strong. Math sucks though.
Us History: good shit. Favorite subject, easy class, pretty girls.
American Lit: Probably my best teacher. I love all the books I've read in the class except for the scarlet letter. Also wrote some good essays. Also it's the same class as US history so all the pretty girls are still there.
Chemistry: Quite easy. Nice teacher. He's a funny guy, never stays on topic tho. Good friends in that class.
Intermediate TV: probably my fav class. Tons of fun. Advanced TV next year should be great.

This year I became close with one of my best friends. I hang out with my friends all the time. Love life is virtually non-existent as per, but that should change.
