The tie for 1st place in the BBL fell from a 4-way to a 2-way, as the Melonheads took care of the All-Stars and the Hornets lost as well. It wasn't all to thrilling of a game, as the Melonheads once again scored in the first time, this time it being 3 runs. Kenny Kawaguchi tossed yet another quality start, with 8 innings and only 2 earned runs. Tony Delvecchio, the team's designated mop-up man, finished things up in the 9th without a problem. Kiesha Phillips led the offense with 4 hits and 3 doubles, also knocking in 3 runs. After a day off, the Melonheads will have a shot at the other 4-1 team in the league, the Junior Monsters, at home.

Kiesha and Dante made some ground today, and top performers Pablo and Amir struggled. So, all in all, the point race evened out quite a bit in this game, with the difference between 1st and last going from 25.7 to 19.

Well, no one really completely sucks anymore, so that's good, but Pablo and Kenny are running away with it, which isn't (unless you're Paul or Brewers). So, yeah, short update today because when I originally wrote it on Wednesday, I was somehow logged out when I hit submit. Rather than trying to rack my brain trying to remember exactly what happened, I just kept it simple. The next update will probably be pretty lengthy, though.

Pablo readily accepts the role as starter, and appreciates the leap of faith.

Just to let you guys know, I will get back around to updating this once I'm not quite so busy. Driver's ed on top of baseball and basketball has been consuming a lot of time.
