These would be my AL GG's:

1B - Kendry Morales
2B - Placido Polanco
SS - Elvis Andrus
3B - Evan Longoria
OF - Franklin Gutierrez
OF - Carl Crawford
OF - Ryan Sweeney

You forgot catcher and pitcher...

I totally agree with Crawford and Gutierrez. These guys were so good it's an absolute insult not to give the award to them. As for the last spot, I don't know, maybe Curtis Granderson or B.J. Upton?

I was actually suprised how good Morales was defensivly this year

And yes I love Guttierez. He is a great underrated player, he is great defensivly, good speed, good arm and he is a good enough hitter

I like Sweeney too. These idiots who decide this stuff really piss me off, they go by tradition and they act like it's a major popularity contest. It's what makes players underrated and overated

I hope one day that Mark Ellis gets his gold glove

Polanco was genuinely great this year, and Ellis didn't get a lot of playing time. It's the outfield that's totally messed up.

I know but when he's healthy he's good defensivly, he didn't deserve it this year bur other years

For some reason sometimes I just don't like the good people in the game when they're obssesed about and picked annualy for awards they don't always deserve. I mean really, Gary Matthews is apparently a beast because he made a great catch a few years ago and David Eckstein is great because he's gritty and leads the league in dirty shirts? Hunter is the best center fielder in the game because he robbed Bonds in the allstar game? Rivera is the best pitcher ever because he played in this era where there were people like Cy Young, Gibson, Mathhewson. And the Steelers are better than alot of teams because they won the Super Bowl. Just poor assumptions by "experts" and people who vote. All that stuff makes me mad

And outfield was messed, and shortstop

This has nothing to do with gold gloves or anything, but how has Felix Hernandez's season been almost completely forgotten? 19-5 with a 2.49 ERA. I would definitely put his name into consideration with Greinke for Cy Young.

Tough to argue with Mauer, but I do love Kurt Suzuki. No problem with Buehrle, either. When it comes to controlling and shutting down the running game, he might be the best in history.

He plays for a small-market team (Heck, aren't all western teams small-market?), and small-market teams don't get much respect.

I remember complaining about something like this a few years back. In 2004, Albert Pujols won the MVP even though Derrek Lee led the MLB in like half of all batting stats, including AVG. I think it's because the Cubs didn't do well that year. It's the MVP, not MVPOARGT. Then in 2005, when Pujols did deserve the MVP, Ryan Howard got it. Seriously, it's just messed up :?

I totally agree with jacob except on Torii Hunter.
He has always been a fantastic CF, he's been consistent out there and he robs 7-8 people a year of homers.
not just that, but he has power AND speed when at the plate too.

i would vote for king felix for cy young, i love him and how he's so good at 22, 23.

He is in contention, he'll get plenty of votes, but Greinke had a 2.16 ERA, so he is gonna win.

Maybe they could have something sort of like the BCS voting (without the SoS and all that BS), where there are multiple polls for who should be it.
Like, 1 for the fans and 1 for the coaches and 1 for the press.

Oh, and while I don't think Ichiro deserved it very much, Hunter only had 1 error all season.
Now, the whole errors system is screwed up, but still...
And according to fangraphs and his UZR (ultimate zone rating), he had one of his best seasons in his career fieldingwise.

If you let fans vote then it will be just like the All Star game.
