Mine is very similar to yours

AL Cy Young : Zack Greinke
AL MVP : Joe Mauer
AL ROY : Andrew Bailey

NL Cy Young : Adam Wainwright
NL MVP : Albert Pujols
NL ROY : Chris Coghlan

Where do you get Rivera for MVP? The Yankees could've had Brad Lidge and his same stats and they still would've won 95-98 games

Mauer put up great stats in 138 games this season, a good amount for a catcher who missed the first month of the season. He pretty much led the team for a lot of the year and take Mauer out of the equation and put some other guy in there and theres no way the Twins make the playoffs. A .365 average and 28 homeruns is MVP worth too considering that Pedroia won it hitting .327 with 17 homeruns or something like that

I had to go with Wainwright though, he went more innings because he had more starts and I don't really think that Carpenter should win it with just 28 starts unless Wainwright didn't put up his numbers. Wainwrights the reason why I think that Carpenter isn't going to win the Cy Young this year

I really don't know.

NL:
Cy = Lincecum or Cain (no, I actually think so)
MVP = Pujols
ROY = I have no clue, maybe Garrett Jones (I forget all the rookies and whether they're actually rookies or had 5 AB's in 08 that makes them nonrookies.)

How do you figure that The Yankees could have done so good with Brad Lidge? Lidge sucked this year and Rivera was a beast as usual. The Yankees don't really have a very good bullpen besides Rivera anyway. Coke has been a bit inconsistent as has Bruney. Phil Hughes was pretty good but besides him the Yankees just kept going through guys like Mark Melancon and David Robertson, and none of them were shutdown. Everyone knows that a bullpen is what is most important for a team down the stretch and without Rivera the Yankees would have lost more

The Yankees won 103 games. Had Rivera not been on the team, they probably would have won 99 games. Had Lidge been on the team instead of Rivera and pitched as often as he did for the Phillies, they probably would have won at least 95 games. They would have made the playoffs anyway.

Imagine if the Twins didn't have Joe Mauer though. The Twins probably would have been at or under .500.

Who's more valuable?

My picks:

NL MVP: Albert Pujols
NL CY: Chris Carpenter
NL ROY: Andrew McCutchen

AL MVP: Joe Mauer
AL CY: Zack Greinke
AL ROY: Elvis Andrus

rookie of the year is probably the toughest thing to figure out so here are the stats for the notable NL Rookies:

Andrew McCutchen(433 AB) - 12 HR | .286 AVG | 22/27 SB | .365 OBP | .471 SLG

Garrett Jones(314 AB) - 21 HR | .293 AVG | 10/12 SB | .372 OBP | .567 SLG

Colby Rasmus(474 AB) - 16 HR | .251 AVG | 3/4 SB | .307 OBP | .407 SLG

Chris Coghlan(504 AB) - 9 HR | .321 AVG | 8/13 SB | .390 OBP | .460 SLG

Tommy Hanson(21 GS) - 2.89 ERA | 11-4 | 127.2 IP | 116 K | 46 BB

Randy Wells(27 GS) - 3.05 ERA | 12-10 | 165.1 IP | 104 K | 46 BB

J.A Happ(35 G, 23 GS) - 2.93 ERA | 12-4 | 166 IP | 119 K | 59 BB

It's very tough but you have to figure out who's stats are most impressive, its tough when there are some good hitters and good pitchers

But Rasmus should pretty much be eliminated right away...

I was rooting for Randy Wells, but he's just not as good as the others.

I see your point on Joe Mauer and you are probably right but how do you figure about Rivera and Lidge?

As for Coghlan, I picked him because he led all the rookies in batting average and on base percentage in the largest amount of at bats which shows how consistent he is. Plus he was dominating the pitching for about two months whereas Jones only dominated for about two or three weeks.

the gold gloves came out and I just give up

Derek Jeter goes from being the worst shortstop in the majors to an average at best shortstop and he wins a gold glove award? I know he has a few but this thing is so rigged. Just think about how many good shortstops there are in the AL and all the retards could come up with is Derek Jeter? They need some new guys to vote for this stuff, they can't just vote for a popularity contest every year. And for the outfielder the only time they have to think is for the 3rd outfielder and thankfully they chose Adam Jones. Besides him they just write down Hunter and Ichiro, they don't look at the stats they just write them down because its a tradition

I'm afraid to see what the gold gloves looks like in the NL if they can pick Jeter for another gold glove

To sum it up : Gold Glove = Most overrated award in baseball
