I seem like the odd one out in that my parents listen to songs explicit enough to annoy me.

I like The Big Bang Theory, to be honest.

I also like the Chuck Lorre vanity cards.

I don't think my parents care about songs being explicit. They think of swears as just words. Which I do as well.

Who the hell decided swear words to be swear words?

He did make WildThing 40 years old so he isn't too bright, buuuut he has good enough grammar. His handwriting is like hyroglyphics so I actually can't tell. How he got a better grade in english than me I do not know.

And PPFan, my theory is think of it like this, words like *(censored)* and shit mean kind of vulgar things right? It's that they're slang and the grown-up peeps don't like that. Besides that, when used in excess and in a malicious way, people get mad.

I don't find it all that funny.

Good theory, makes sense! I still don't think that shit should be any worse than, say, "poop"
If anything, poop sounds worse.

My parents get pissed when I yell "SHIT" when I stub my toe. My parents get pissed whenever I swear. Which annoys me, because unfortunately I do find swears to be just words.

True, I think poop just sounds immature. Go right in the middle and say crap.

Just curious, what shows do you like? I'm fond of The Office, (sad to see it dying like this, though) re-runs of That 70's Show and some others.

I very much enjoy(ed) Scrubs.
I like Psych, Monk was great, Modern Family, of course... Others...

Oh, and also, I really liked Cowboy Bebop.

I personally like:

-the majority of sitcoms on CBS (How I Met Your Mother, Two Broke Girls, Big Bang Theory, Rules of Engagement, Two and a Half Men (if I stay up long enough))
-The majority of programming on ESPN
-A good portion of the programming on MLB Network

And too many more to list here.

Whag dish said basically goes for me. On MLB network, Intentional Talk is great. Sometimes I can find the Twilight Zone on TV I'll watch it. I lile a lot lf comedy stuff. If you haven't noticed from my log I like comedy a lot.

Kevin Millar is GREAT! Chris Rose is very good too.

Wow, OK, there are several conversations I want to join in on, so...

My taste in music is really weird just because I don't get it from anywhere that everyone else does. It's almost entirely background music from video games, weird Japanese stuff, and ponies. Lots of ponies.

No one in my house cares about profanity. My mom swears a lot, so we pretty much just accept it.

My entire family likes Big Bang Theory. I also have a friend who acts EXACTLY like Sheldon (In his words, "Sheldon is a caricature of me."), so we tease him for that. He's easy to tease.

I honestly don't really watch TV that much anymore. There are a couple shows I kind of want to watch, but I keep missing them. MLB Network is usually a pretty good standby when I have NOTHING to do, though.

MLB Network is on my TV pretty much 24/7, save for Korra.

Actually, yeah. MLB Network is on 167 and a half hours a week.
