Senior year, so far, hasn't been as bad as junior year. I'm taking two AP courses (Lit and Calculus), Psychology, Phys. Ed, something called "Big History" (it's extremely easy) and Japanese I (I already took three years of French but that was actually starting to require effort). Calculus is easy so far. I'm sure it'll get harder, and I'll probably end up with a B, but I'm taking it with the hope that I'll get college credits for the AP Exam. AP Lit isn't too bad, it's definitely easier than AP Language/Composition, and everything else is a blow off. I have a lot of friends in my Calculus and Phys. Ed classes, and a couple in Psychology and History. Lit is a wasteland, and Japanese is mostly freshman (probably should have considered that before taking such a basic class).

Anyway, I'm just looking forward to graduating and leaving this place for good.

As I mentioned earlier, my broken laptop really gave me a lot of problems last week. Statistics is killing me. My already fairly poor mathematics skills are being tested, and not having a computer for help really screwed me. This is looking to be a tough year.

So, the first quarter is over for me, and I got my report card today! I guess I'll go over how each class went.

AP World History: B (82.98) The class itself is pretty easy, as we just sit there and take notes as he explains the slideshow presentation. All of the tests are based on the book though, so the notes are fairly useless. The teacher is pretty cool
English II Honors: A (93.25) I have a good amount of friends in this class, and the teacher is okay. Despite English easily being my worst subject, the class itself wasn't too hard. The fact that we spent nearly two weeks researching flood myths was pretty stupid though
Spanish III: A (93.39) The teacher is nice, but totally incompetent at her job. She's awful at teaching, and then is surprised when so many people go D's and F's on the exam. However, thanks to her strange grading system, an A is fairly easy to acquire. A 50 is like a 79, and a 0 is a 59.
Team Sports II: A (100) I suck at volleyball. I suck at basketball. I suck at football.
LUNCH
Culinary II: A (94.97) I hate having this right after lunch, but whatever. It's an easy class.
Pre-Calculus: A (93.66) The teacher is pretty annoying and strict, and makes more errors than I do. For example, she put down that a circle was 368 degrees, and just went with it until someone pointed it out. She didn't even realize she made a mistake! And these things happen fairly often, maybe two or three times a week.
Chemistry Honors: A (95.54) Probably my favorite class. I have a lot of friends that I talk to, since I sit in the middle of them all. The teacher is cool, and the subject matter is stupidly easy. Because of that, I'm pretty much the answer machine for everyone.

With six A's and only one B, that's good enough for a (weighted) GPA of 4.285714285714286, or about 4.3!

Here's my first quarter report card that ended today.

Advanced Microsoft Applications: A(100)

Spanish I: A(99)

Advanced English 9: A(98)

Geometry: A(100)

Biology: A-(93)

P.E.: A(98) Because I didnt participate one day when my pinky was broken.

Bible 9: A(98)

So, my,GPA is 4.0 with no AP classes. Biology is my worst class as science has always been my worst subject.

You guys have quarters? My school only gives out report cards twice a year.

So we had physical education and everyone was getting changed and BAM. there was this kid that decided to go commando that day, he was so non-chalant about it and just got changed.

It's homecoming week for our school, so today was character day, where people can basically dress up as whatever they want. You know what that means? Cleavage everywhere.

Today was a good day.

That happens weekly at our school... We also have underground locker-room boxing league, which is rather awesome to watch. A few times a week 2 kids duke it out in the locker room after P.E. Nothing serious, more jokingly fighting, but one time these 2 guys really got into it and had to be broken up.
