Zumi - I always assumed you were japanese and a fan of WW2. The Japanese had a carrier that was just 1 letter off from your username: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zuikaku

I got my name from AOL. In the early 90s we'd use AOL to chat, and we'd hack each other - kick people off, mess with computers, just low-level stuff. I went with Alloutwar, but one of the L's was a capital I, which no one could tell unless they cut n pasted. So people would try to kick me or do nasty things and they wouldn't affect me.

It was supposedly some hardcore band my hacker buddy was into, and he made my screenname back before I knew anything about computers.

"Longball" as a nickname for home run, and 714 refers to Babe Ruth's career total. Unfortunately, this nickname doesn't work outside of baseball sites...
