To tell the truth I just found out about baseball when I got mlbpp 2007, never even watched a game till then! that was in 08...I also have the show, but it's boring compared to MLBPP.

Been following baseball for ages.... I remember seeing Cal Ripken on TV back in the early 90's and taking a liking to the Orioles. Don't know why. I owned La Russa's baseball on the megadrive and it really shot from there. However down this part of the world Baseball still struggles to get much TV time.

I caught a Cal Ripken batting practice homer at the Oakland Coliseum when I was 14. Stood on my seat and grabbed it barehanded, just like Success Mode. That ball resides on my desk at work alongside a Kent Hrbek foul ball I caught at the Metrodome (Plexiglas days) and a BP ball one of the Rangers coaches gave my son on opening day at Safeco a few years ago.

Favorite team as a kid was the Reds. Eric Davis was a human lightning bolt and the rest of the team was young and talented: Barry Larkin, Chris Sabo, Kal Daniels, Jose Rijo, Mario Soto, the Nasty Boys, manager Lou Piniella. I sent Davis a letter and he sent back an autographed baseball card, an autographed 8x10 picture of himself, a workout regimen and an Eric Davis Fan Club t-shirt. I wore that shirt under my uniform for every game until it disintegrated. He was good man.

It was also hard not getting attached to the Cubs and Braves as well, since WGN and TBS aired all of their games.

Favorite team between college and now (and until death) is the M's.
