Mario Party DS, Clubhouse Games (previously mentioned), and either of the Sonic Rushes are great games. If you can find it, PuzzleQuest is pretty addicting. Which shore are you going to? Ocean City?

Oh yeah, Sonic Rush is good. Pretty much the only good Sonic game anymore.

Clubhouse Games is a collection of 40+ classic games like card games (Blackjack, Old Maid, Rummy), board games (backgammon, dots and boxes, chinese checkers) and other games (bowling, darts, soda shake, dominoes).
It's really fun, actually, and it has DS download for up to 8 players.

Hey, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is basically the same thing, RPG/RTS.
I've played it, and it is really fun.
If you like KITN, you should definitely consider Fire Emblem.
