you ever watch mythbusters? they proved that swinging with a corked bat actually hurts your hitting becuase it absorbs the impact, so.... lol, if sammy knew that, he might actually be a better batter than we give him credit for, oh well, corked bats are against the rules, and if they do hurt your performance, he screwed himself over :lol:

Well, the cork makes the bat lighter, so you swing it faster. However, since it's lighter you have less mass on it. Some people think the cork lets the ball spring off the bat. However, someone posted that the Mythbusters said that it absorbs the contact. Very contradictory. My opinion is since it's illegal, don't use it.

Harper is amazing, but he may bust. All this pressure on a 16-year old isn't exactly good. However, to be a good Major League player, he'll have to be able to perform under pressure.
