Haha, sorry to make a thread just about this, but I just found out I have opening day tickets to Yankee Stadium! Unless I'm lucky enough to see some game 7 of the world series or extra game playoff, this is probably by far the most important game I will ever see! When I was first told, I asked if it was April Fools. They didn't know it even was April Fools, and I don't think they're that cruel. Anyway, I can't wait. The only seats were in the bleachers, but I'm more then fine with that. I always wante dto go to a game in the bleachers at some point. I'm really excited.

Congrats cownip, hope you have fun. I think that the scheduled matchup in that game is CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee :shock: (I think they play the Indians)

As for me, I get to miss some school to watch my first opening day ever, thats good enough for me

I've never seen tv red sox play opening day. And I couldn't watch it last year because it was at like 5:30 a.m(that game was apparently a great game)

It won't be, Fox and ESPN only have rights to Saturday and Sunday games. However MLB Network now can access Thursday games, and they will show this game. YES also will show it, unlike ESPN or Fox where only 1 network will.

How are weekday games televised then if Fox and ESPN only get the weekend and MLB Network on Thursday?

My dad just won a contest at work for Tigers home opener tickets for this Sunday! It's going to be a long drive and we're still trying to find someone to take with us (we have 4 tickets for me and my dad) (Also, don't say you want to go with us)
