Austin Jackson was sent down to the minors today after belting a grand slam. I remember Jesus Montero got sent down after hitting one against the Pirates which I thought was funny, but seriously? I bet there's a curse going on right now! If your a Red Sox fan, I dare you to hope Jeter hits one so he can be sent down.

Are you kidding? As a Sox fan, if Jeter gets sent down, the Yankees would have to play a decent fielding shortstop, which would be horrible! :)

David Price was sent down to the minors - heck, Shawn Estes was almost released, and I still don't think Pudge Rodriguez has a contract. Tis' that time of year. Everyone wants their primo talent to be getting at-bats and seasoning, and pull them out as a wild card one, two, even 3 months in. Troy Tulowitzki to Evan Longoria to Justin Masterson, the mid-season callup hold off that arbitration clock and keeps your primo talent away from scouting eyes

The Houston Astros have been an organization that they have a lot of good players, and (are) a very good organization. For the players, the area is very nice.

Thanks. Sorry about that. I just felt really stupid for a second.

...

This is to discuss Austin Jackson being sent down after hitting a GS, not the official "Pudge signed with the Astros" topic.

I just brought it up when Alloutwar thought he hadn't signed yet. As for Austin Jackson they were probably planning to send him down on a certain date anyway.

Saw him in a game once in the Minors. He got a few hits. No GS or HR, for that matter.
