I too have heard rumors about CC going to the Cubs. But the Yankees probably have too much money to offer to a player like that. Although if the Cubs decide to release Dempster, that would free up a lot of dough.

Good news, we got rid of Kerry Wood. Yay! :D

And picked up Kevin Gregg.

I only saw Gregg pitch a few games last year but I though he was pretty darn good. (and I love the glasses)

On my MLBlog, I stated 5 moves the Cubs should make this off-season:

1. Resign Ryan Dempster

2. Trade for Jake Peavy

3. Acquire Brian Roberts

4. Trade for Raul Ibanez

5. Sign a veteran catcher

I just heard about the Ibanez rumor a couple of days ago, and it looks like a good deal to me! And they definitely need another Henry Blanco. A good defensive catcher who can help out Soto.

Rays should go for someone like Brian Fuentes, maybe a good backup IF.
Mets should get K-Rod, since Wagner's old and gone for '09. Also get a decent catcher.
Giants, I would love to see CC going there, which has been discussed a bit. Better IFs needed as well, they could trade somebody like Winn or Fred Lewis.

I still think the Phillies should sign Adam Dunn. Plus, it could be a real swindle, because of his low batting averages.
