What the hell is chip kerry or beary or whatever doing annnouncing the playoffs? He was simply horrendous and terrible last year for the Yankees. I listened to the radio instead of hearing him. He had no idea of any stats and made mistake after mistake about every Yankee player. He had no preparation and continuously brought up fake and wrong stats out of nowhere. He talked about guys having terrible seasons who were having career years and vica-versa. He made unitelligent statements where he would assume something would happen that usually didn't and I believe he made some particularly stupid remarks about Torre's job. He was biased and unfair against the Yanks in every regard, though I'm sure his facts were just as off about the Indiands as well. Why the hell would they have fans suffer the same BS again this year!? I'm muted the TV and listening to the radio this post-season so I don't have to deal with this bogus announcer this year. There was a reason Fox fired him.

Yogisms (Yogi Berra Quotes):
- When you come to a fork in the road, take it.
- When asked if he wanted a pizza cut into 4/8 slices, Yogi responds with "Better cut it into 4, I don't think I could eat 8."
-Always go to other peoples' funerals otherwise they won't go to yours.
-I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous.
-In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.
-It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future.

To be fair, the rest of the country has been tired of listening to Tim McCarver perform verbal fellagio on Torre and the rest of the Yankees for the last 15 years. It's only fair that we get an announcer that makes you guys sick ;)

Haha maybe, but not the first year I get into it. Last year was the first time I really watched and cared about baseball. So for me, 2/2 years I've been stuck with carry!

i hear ya, i've had many times when i had to hit mute on the tv and turn on the radio broadcast due to some bad announcing. while there are some amazing announcers out there, there's also a bunch of others that could potentially ruin a great game with their bias, rude, and inaccurate commentating. granted i've been spoiled with some of the best in the business all these years being a dodger fan. :D even the old merluzzi would be better than some of these guys :!:
