Okay, I'm sure you've all at least heard of the new Jackie Robinson biopic to be released on April 13th. Since we're all baseball fans I expect a fair amount of you have some sort of expectations for this.

Judging from the trailer, this looks like a return to form for Harrison Ford (playing Branch Rickey) which is great. The music in all the trailers and TV spots has been bad. I don't mind Jay-Z, but it doesn't fit in a movie set in the 1940's (although I hear more period appropriate songs by Duke Ellington and others will feature in the movie). Ebbet's Field looks great and so do the scenes where Jackie gets hit in the head and when Pee-Wee Reese puts his arm around Robinson. Chadwick Boseman is playing Jackie Robinson and it is about time this man gets a biopic. This is not only an amazing sports story, but a story of race and perserverence. Some shots look iffy, but I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

I have no expectations since I will not be seeing it. I'm just not a big movie guy

Well it's Brooklyn... So Jay-Z will find some way to get his ugly mug in it... I'm looking forward to seeing the movie though, although I wish I could see the biopic's Jackie did about his own story.

I won't go see it in the theaters but I hope to get to watch it at some point. I think it'll be a good film.

I probably won't see it. My family just doesn't have time for movies, and I can't drive myself to see one. And most of my friends can't drive yet either.

Yeah, I'll probably be seeing it, since Jackie's my main man.

It looks mighty good, too, so that's a plus.
