Game 1:

Binghamton Senators at Reapers

Senators: 2
Reapers: 4

This was easily the most competitive game the Reapers have played to this point. The winning goal was scored late in the second after a horrendous giveaway by the Senators' goalie, Robin Lehner, left Shawn Thornton a wide open net to shoot at to give up the 3-1 lead. They scored one to try to mount a comeback, making it 3-2, but the Reapers then played shutdown defense the rest of the way. An empty net goal would put the game away decidedly.

Scoring:

1st:
None

2nd:
RoR: Hordichuk
BIN: Daugavins
RoR: Staubitz (Kramer, Ruggiero)
RoR: Thornton

3rd:
Staubitz (Savard, Tyutin)

404, pucks not found.

...

But seriously, I got 404 pucks for that win.

Game 2:

Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Reapers

Sound Tigers:
Reapers:

Game wasn't played, referees eliminated the Reapers for no damn reason at all again, for the second time in three games. This time waiting until they had a 2-0 lead to kick them out.

In an even more absurd ruling, after the Reapers were kicked out of last game for no apparent reason and given the loss, they weren't eliminated from the tournament, and every game played that day was considered as if they never happened, and will be played again.

Game 2:

Bridgeport Sound Tigers at Reapers

Sound Tigers: 0
Reapers: 3

I'm not going to be recording scoring summaries or pucks for these anymore. I want to get out of the game as soon as possible now. Any second I take to record anything important is a second that the EA servers could kick me off for no reason and make the game not count.

Game 3:

Reapers: 4

These updates look kind of bare like this. I should think about if there's anything I can add to these.

Game 4, Tournament Final:

Oklahoma City Barons at Reapers

Barons: 0
Reapers: 3

The Reapers won their first Pro Cup against the Oklahoma City Barons today. Turco's goaltending was good enough to give them a shutout as he stopped numerous chances. Oklahoma City's Yann Danis was pretty good in net as well, keeping his team in the game when being bombarded with shots from everywhere, with 18 seconds left in the game he gave up the third goal and the team knew they couldn't come back from that.

The Reapers remain "undefeated" after that tournament, their official record being listed at 15-2, but they haven't actually lost a real hockey game yet. According to our sources, they plan to enter the Elite Challenge next. We expect them to pick up their first real loss in this tournament, probably even in the first game. I mean, pounding on Junior and AHL teams is one thing, playing on the NHL level is completely different, that's against many of the best players in the world, although the teams accepted into this bracket are pretty questionable.

Game 1:

Buffalo Sabres at Reapers

Sabres: 2
Reapers: 5

The Reapers shut up their critics in this game against the Sabres, pulling out a 5-2 win that was a much more competitive game than the final score shows. The Reapers held the 3-2 lead until the last minute, when a couple of bounces went their way, leading to another couple goals on Ryan Miller, arguably the best goalie around. Miller would show his frustration later, when a delayed penalty was going to be called against the Reapers late in the game, Miller left the net and charged straight at a Reapers player, this would go unnoticed by referees.

I kind of surprised myself with that win, I mean, this is the highest difficulty, Superstar. I haven't really been good against Superstar since NHL '11 and I didn't think I had a chance. I mean, when my player passed it off of my goalie to give up the goal that tied it at 1-1, I thought I would lose for sure.

Ruggiero (80) is being replaced by Dmitri Orlov (82). Martynek [78] will be replaced with Hagman [82], and Hagman will be moved up to the second line LW spot. Blake [81] will replace Kramer [72] and be moved up to the second line C position.

This is expected to improve the team chemistry as well as the team's ability in general.

Game 2:

Edmonton Oilers at Reapers

Oilers: 1
Reapers: 0

There's a such thing as a goalie appearing psychic and having reflexes better than all superheros combined. Nikolai Khabibulin, however, made those goalies look like imbeciles with this performance, shutting out the Reapers despite how several of his saves were physically impossible for humans to make, changing his position while he was in midair, stretching one arm to several feet longer than the other to reach a shot. Khabibulin could be the next great superhero if he didn't feel like sticking with hockey until retirement, he proved that here tonight.

Also a candidate for superhero would be Ales Hemsky, who can apparently move his stick from his left side to his right and back hundreds of times in a second without losing control of the puck. Those skills were on display as he score the team's only goal, you can't fault Turco for not being able to follow that.

Entered Online version of the Rookie Cup a while back by accident, I might as well play it, I don't have much to lose now. I'm on a losing streak anyway (lost an exhibition game I didn't post as well).

Game 1:

Reapers at everybodybuzz

Reapers: 6
everybodybuzz: 1

The Reapers dominated this game, amassing a total of 50 shots, scoring 6 goals. everybodybuzz scored a goal late in the game to avoid the complete humiliation of the shutout, but it wouldn't do anything to change the result of the game. The Reapers even got into a fight near the end of this game, Jason Akeson won it for the Reapers.

Game 2:

Reapers at heimey1

Reapers:2
heimey1: 0

After the second goal, the heimey1 team decided they had enough and quit the game. They were completely dominated up to that point, being outshot 41-9. The Reapers will advance to Round 3.
