So . . . I dusted off the old Blackbeard Lowry log for old times sake and have been making Bluebeard Bohn. I do not plan to enter him in the competition but I will post him when complete. He will probably look something like this:

B/T: R/R Dual (El Duque)
105 MPH
180 Ctrl
220 Stam
Pitches: Maxed 2SFB, SIFB, H-SNK, DCB, CUT, and DAGGER (ORIG FORK w/ more edge).
Pitching abilities: Everything but Gyroball and probably Star - I hate S/L'ing the ghost event.

4 TRJ
12 CON
200 PWR
15 SPD
15 ARM
15 FLD
12 ERES
2nd Pos: RF/LF
Hitting/Fielding abilities: Quite a few.

Just for fun, I advanced through to the Sittch final last night and Bluebeard threw a perfect game. The Dagger is unhittable. He's not quite Blackbeard but I didn't want to spend that much time on him, either.

Reasons to get this game for PS2
1.)ED44
2.)RobHallet

But, seriously, though, that sounds great! I would love to import that guy.

Why? Of all the stuff you obviously must S/L, why does that thing in particular bother you? I'm 2/2 in players I've tried to get it with through that event. The first character was pretty easy. The second one took a lot longer to get, but I had no other random events still around except that one. I got the event about 50 times before the ability, but it was still easier than things like reloading Surprise Bags or doing gambles under 10-20%.

I have never wasted an entire night reloading an S-Bag or 3% gamble. I have wasted more than one night reloading for a successful ghost/Star event. The problem is you need two things to happen: 1) the RE to occur and 2) the RE to provide Star. Even after you wipe out the majority of other RE's, that specific RE occurs about 10%-15% of the time from one week to the next. It's the equivalent of trying to get Gd Sense from Sittch but only if there is a 10% chance he will be at the Lake.

I'll probably put the deadline for votes on Wednesday, so get them in by that night. Nine of you have voted for the majority of the categories, and I know there are more than nine active members. Some votes will decide gold, but the majority will decide who ends up with a silver or bronze medal, and who goes home empty handed. So turn your votes in (to either me or Paul), because even just one vote can and will make a difference

I'm just waiting for the last minute for some reason.

To clarify, we can vote for just one in each category, and choose to not vote in some of them, right?

Yes, and no. You may only vote for one option (if you so choose. you can vote for up to three, but that's optional), but you must vote for every category. Is there really one category where you hate every option? If not, then it shouldn't really be a problem

And if so, choose randomly.

Just take all my first votes, not the 2nd or 3rd, okay?
