Making an ace pitcher in success mode is a lot easier than you think. Here's a quick guide that'll help you do it in 2 hours tops.

1 - Creating Your Player

Use manual upgrades, nothing else matters.

2 - Practicing

Do a lot of practicing mainly breaking ball and strength training (you'll get a lot of technique with training with Sittch and Frank. You will still need to practice to rack up evaluation points.

3 - Free time events

Whenever you are low on vitality go to the Ducks to eat. Make sure to train with Sittch whenever it is possible, you need to get that nasty original pitch ASAP to be a force in the minors. Make sure to go to the Lookout plenty as well to train with Frank. This training will get you plenty of Strength and Technique points. Go to Steak to upgrade stamina, this will also get you a lot of money to spend on Glove Wax at the end.

4 - Games

You must do well in the games to get eval. Eval is the most important thing to acquire so you won't have to practice so you can do a lot of training with Frank and Sittch. Save/load to pitch well, you need 8 eval per game to pass, you need 40 to make it to AAA. You need to rack up coach eval as well to start in AAA, although you won't need to start if you rack up 15 eval per game in AAA.

5 - Upgrading

DO NOT upgrade stamina. You upgrade stamina by going to Steak. The only time at all that you should upgrade stamina is at the start of AA and you need stamina to go longer in the game. Use minimal points when upgrading top speed as well, there is an easy way to get it after you finish your player. Use most of your points to upgrade control, your original pitch, and secondary breaking balls.

6 - AAA

By now, your pitcher should be throwing 82 at least, have E or better control, B or better stamina, and a level 3 original pitch and an additional breaking ball. Go to steak every time before the coaches show up to practice, you'll really want this stamina. Make sure to successfully complete the scouting tests as well, these are crucial scout points. In AAA, you don't need to start in any games unless you didn't do too hot in AA. Most of AAA should be spent at the steakhouse, racking up money and stamina, or practicing getting mentality points and breaking ball points to get good breaking balls.

7 - Finishing

You just beat the Galaxy Sharks in the final Sittch game to make it to the Majors right? If not, don't worry, it's a hard game. Now you customize your player give him a blue Afro, a green handlebar moustache and clashing wristbands, no? Ok? Fine, whatever suits you... Now you should have these stats: 84 top speed (at minimum) D or better control A stamina, a level 5 or better original and two other decent breaking balls. You probably wish you could throw harder eh? Now you have those $5000 left over from working at the Steakhouse. That much will get you 8 glove waxes, which will boost your top speed to 92 at least, 100 at most, make sure you still have your glove from the Sittch arc. And bang! You have a realistic ace at your fingertips.
