The pitched ball spins like a gyroscope, making the ball appear to be moving faster
Description
Gyroball ability gives the pitcher's 4 seam fastball a football-like spin and extra life. In MLB Power Pros 2007, the ability also gives the 4SFB a slight downward movement.
The characteristics of the pitch (late life, slight drop near the plate in MLB PP 2007) suggest that the depicted gyroball is of the four-seam variety. The on-screen animation also shows four seams rotating parallel to the ground, fitting the definition of a four-seam gyroball [1].
