This is a basics guide to playing Power Pros Baseball.

Differences from "Real" Baseball

  • Scoring stops at 99
    • Should you get this far, you should consider upping the ante by increasing difficulty and lowering fielding/batting/pitching hints.
  • Games ending in a tie after 20 innings are replayed

Controls

WiiMote and Nunchuck

Stick refers to the Control Stick on the nunchuck.
▲▼◀▶ refers to the directions on the Directional Pad on the WiiMote

Offense

Button Type Description
B A/B Toggle Big Swing mode
Stick A/B Move sweetspot cursor
A or ▼ A/B SWING!
▶ (Hold) A/B Bunt (use Control Stick to set bat height and deflection direction)
A/B Advance all runners
A/B Return all runners
▲ + ▶
▲ + ▲
A/B Halt all runners (if running). Up to restart, Right to return.
Stick + ◀ A/B Advance to a specific base.
Use control stick to specify base: ▶-1st ▲-2nd ◀-3rd ▼-Home
Stick + ▼ A/B Return to a specific base. (Same stick directions as above) Hold down to retreat faster.

Pitching

Button Type Description
Stick A/B Select Pitch Type
B A/B Change to second Pitch Type for that direction.
A or ▼ A/B Pitch
A/B Pick off to first
A/B Pick off to second
A/B Pick off to third

Stick A/B Move selected fielder. Angle of stick movement determines if fielder walks, jogs, or runs
L1 A/B Designate fielder closest to ball
R1 A/B Lock the mark on the designated fielder
L1 A/B Fake a throw
R1 or R2 A/B Throw to cut off man
□, △, ◯, X A Throw to base (Third, second, first, home)
▶ + X B Throw to first base
▲ + X B Throw to second base
◀ + X B Throw to third base
▼ + X B Throw to home
