Corey Braun is my (philliesfan134) second hitter completed in Success. He's a slick fielding shortstop.

Scouting Report

He claims to be related to the Brewers All-Star Ryan, but I'm not so sure on that. He swings a good bat but is more well-versed in the field. It's his specialty, and he's proud of it. Corey's well-rounded but since he works on making his fielding the best it can be, his hitting takes somewhat of a toll. Regardless, he could be come one of the better shortstops in the bigs if his hitting is worked on.

He's great in the clutch, and though from first glance it may not look it, he can also hit some balls out of the yard if need be. He's good at getting on base, even if he needs to lay a bunt down, which is also something he does well. Especially since Corey is a great infield hitter, though he isn't amazingly speedy, he makes the most of his hits and somehow finds a way to get on. Braun gets an extra boost from his teammates getting on too, it helps him feel more confident when he's at the plate. He'll steal a base and run hard for you, so his managers in the minors have liked him a lot. He's a hot hitter (don't feel safe throwing a pitch down the middle to him either), but of course that's not what he's best at.

No, his best work is in the field, as mentioned. He throws on the mark and turns double plays at a whim. He's aggressive at the shortstop position and could collect quite a few golden gloves by the time all is said and done.
