So I've figured out a way to play (and possibly rip) the BGM from the game on your computer. Windows users only.

You must own a copy of the game to proceed. NO UPLOAD REQUESTS in this thread or on the forum.

1. Insert MLB PP disc into computer's DVD drive (Must have DVD capabilities, no CD drive will do).

2. Navigate to "SOUND" folder on the disc, and find the STRBGM.VAS file. It should be 349MB (366,061,568 bytes). Copy this file to your computer's hard drive. Note: If you only see "STRBGM" and not "STRBGM.VAS", configure Windows to show extensions

3. Download MFAudio and extract zip file. This is a utility for playing PS2 music.

4. [IMPORTANT] Rename the STRBGM.VAS file's extension to something other than .VAS ; example STRBGM.BIN.

5. Run MFAudio and Open the STRBGM.BIN file. Select the following settings:
File Format: RAW - Raw Sound Data - Compressed ADPCM
Frequency: 44100Hz
Samples: 16 bits
Interleave: 200 Bytes
Channels: 2 (Stereo)
Offset: 0 Bytes

6. Hit Play and the Power Pros menu music will start playing. Unfortunately MFAudio doesn't seem to have a seeking function and all the BGM tracks will play as one big file.

7. If you know what you're doing, you can extract a .wav file of the music, slice it up into individual tracks and encode them to mp3, but I won't cover that here.

I'm still in the process of splitting it up, but from the look of things I'd say about 50 tracks. 2 hours total.

You mean the LG drive that has not been in production in years. It's not cracked if you can't do it on any drive.

Basically someone needs to decode the firmware commands so it can be read anywhere.

At your own risk. No posting public links on this forum, or requests through PMs either.

If you want to share links to friends though email, I guess no one can stop you.

Why no public links?

Because the site could be held liable for copyright infringement.

No attachments either. If you want to share the files, you will have to do it through your own channels.
