After being held in a cell for an entire day yesterday, the guard finally came over and unlocked my door.
The key clicked open, "You're due for questioning, Allen." he said sternly
"Uh, thanks." I walked out, scooting by the guard, who refused to move out of my way, and then was led to the interrogation room.

A relatively large man with a tattered deep green coat, a pen behind his ear, and a band aid on his face walked through the door.
He stumbled a bit getting onto the chair, but managed to keep his very hard attempt at being a "Bad Cop," to no avail.
"Mr... Alien, was it?" he said, looking over some papers.
"Uh, no, not 'Alien,' 'Allen.'"
He scratched the back of his head, "Oh, looks like that's what it says! Hahaha!"
"Uh, so, officer, wh-"
He cut me off, "Detective! Detective Keisuke Itonokogiri, at your service."
"Oh, right, uh, detective. So, why am I here?"
He stared at me, frowned, and then said, as if in defeat "I'm not sure, pal."
(Not sure? NOT SURE?!)
"Not sure?! How can't you be sure?!"
"No need to shout, sir! I'm simply doing my job, here! This wasn't my case!"
"Then why are you here 'detective'?!"
"...Well... Uh... I'm not sure... pal. I think I'll need to speak with Mitsuragi..."
(Mitsuragi? Who's that?)
"Itonokogiri, who's Mitsuragi?" I asked
"Oh, he's just the best darn prosecutor here, sir!" His eyes lit up, he seems like he really admires this "Mitsuragi"
"A prosecutor? Will he be prosecuting me?"
"No. Some greenhorn will be going for you."
"Well, who's my lawyer then?"
"Oh, it's Sh-"
The door burst open, and in came a man decked in a very nice red suit.
"Itonokogiri! Out here, now."
He got up, slouched over, and walked out the door. Before it shut, I could here the red suited man yelling, "Your pay is going to take a hit after this, detective!"
Poor guy.

9:18

The man in the red suit walked back in after reprimanding the poor detective. He took a seat in the chair across from me.
"Mr. Allen, I apologize for that excuse for a detective previously. Because of his mistakes, we shall no longer question you. You have a right to an attorney, surely. If you cannot afford one, one shall be assigned to you by the government."
"Oh. Uh. I don't have a lawyer..."
"Very well, I shall make arrangements for Shinji, then."
"Uh, okay."
"My name is Reiji Mitsuragi, by the way. Nice to meet you."
He shook my hand, and then walked out the door.
They both seemed pretty relaxed, especially considering that I'm a suspect for murder.

What a strange place this holding center is...

As I do every day, I popped open my book from my cell, Moneyball was it's name. And it's a darn good book.
"Allen. Your lawyer's here." the guard said to me as he opened my cell
"Oh, thank goodness."
Again, he didn't move, so I had to squeeze my way out of the cell.

I got to the detention center, and took a seat.
"Shinri should be here in a second." The guard in the room said
"Oh, okay. Thanks."
Shinri, eh? I hope he's a good lawyer.

My name is Shinri Matsumoto, I've been studying law for, what is it now, 3 years? I was presented with a phenomenal oppurtunity to work under the great defense attorney, Ryuuchi Naruhodou.
At only the age of 21, I'm working under one of the most well regarded lawyers in the country!
Little did I know that my first case would be soon, and that it would be very interesting.

I was looking over my law books, which wasn't going all too well, due to the TV being on...
"Shinri!" I heard from Nauhodou's office
I made a note of the page I was on, 217, took one final gander at the soap opera that was on TV and walked into his office.
"Shinri, I've got some big news."
"What is it?"
"Your first case. It's in two days."
"Wh-what?! Two days?!"
"Yeah... Sorry for such short notice, but I think that this would be a good case to start out with."
"Really? Well, what is it?"
"Oh, nothing much. Just a murder. You'll be defending someone who doesn't speak Japanese all too well. You'll be able to talk to him. Because you know, you speak English. And so does he. You dig?"
"Uh... I suppose."
"Excellent! Tomorrow - Detention Center, be there or else Jackie will be screwed"
Jackie...?
