I drafted a guy with 2 SLD, 3 CUT, 1 CB, 3 SLV, D CTRL and C STAM.

I know this is an old thread but I had to add my latest. I did many drafts with an expansion team where I planned on playing every game and have them win the world series with under 70,000 salary cap. I also had all settings set to max so the a.i. had max hitting and pitching. So good draft players would be important the first year where you can draft first. After all the drafts I had many really good ones where I drafted a player and a great pitcher and then found an extra pitcher undrafted. It came down to two the one with a great pitcher and right fielder or the one with a great cathcer and good pitcher. I went with the catcher so don't remember the pitcher. This was in 08 where you don't get as good (in my opinion) as 07. The pitcher had b stamina level 2 sfb, and 4 other pitches 3 at level 4 and one at level 3 and 95 mph fast ball. THe cathcer had level c throwing and level d power and level c error and was not too sure about him until I checked and he came with the GRT CATCHER trait. The one that makes it harder for every player to hit your pitchers.

The other players where ok, but not major improvements. So the question was go with the one great pitcher or the catcher. I picked the catcher. Also, both players where 4 stars and around 20. I went on to win the year and that catcher helped alot. He threw out many runners and my team era dropped alot after getting him. It is like giving intimidator to all your pitchers. I would have liked to have seen how the pitcher would have turned out after a few years of development but I wanted to play to win all ten years and play every game the first year then sim after that.
