I don't know why I am just now noticing this, but I did when I was playing as captain of the Tulips.

It seems if you have a very high control, your breaking balls, even at level 1, will break better than a pitcher with less control and better breaking ball levels.

The reliever I found with a B control and lvl 1 slider and change were breaking a whole lot better than the guy with D control and lvl 2 change and slider.

And yes, they had the same 'motivation' ranking. Control was the only reason I could see for the difference. I suppose everyone already knew this, or maybe I was just seeing things or had an odd situation.

I may do some 'testing' on it today.

Maybe... but it depends on the pitch type being thrown.

A level 1 Slider will break more gradually than a level 1 Hard Slider... and yet they're in the same direction, but with different breaks. I suppose the only way to test this is to see if the same pitcher's pitch "improves" when you improve ONLY control.

It is an interesting idea. I think I might use it on the next run through Success mode. I'd rather have the good control now to be honest.

Does it help to keep items like the Championship ring when you save your player? Or is something like that meaningless in season mode?

All items have no use. (other than equipment)
Sell them, buy Surprise Bags, and hope for a Secrets of P/D/H or Legends book.
