So I'm going to be doing this log in a format VERY SIMILAR to PPJ's Blue Jays log that's going on right now because I've been wanting to do something like that for a long time but now I finally have the time to actually try and do something with it. And people seem to like stuff like this the best. But I'm adding a bit of a twist; you can create two players right off the bat -- one for this team, the Marlins, and one for another team of your choosing. My goal is to have one player created by the likes of you people on every organization once the 2014 season starts (this is MLB 2014: The Show). So have fun. (yes I'm taking this template word-for-word from PPJ's)

Stance/Windup: some basic overhand, full windup.

Strengths/Weaknesses: to be extremely specific...he throws a Fastball, Changeup, Slider, and Curveball in that order. none are particularly special, but he does have good control and stamina. he won't get many strikeouts but gets a lot of ground balls. His fastball only flies around 88 mph though, so that's a definite weakness. His fielding on the mound is also excellent, and he can lay down a good bunt.

Backstory (Optional): Shawn committed to Duke University out of high school, and started 14 games for the Blue Devils his senior year, going 6-8 with a 4.50 ERA. He took the tough road to the MLB, spending three years in an independent league. Miami picked him up in 2013 and he pitched well enough in their minor-league system, ending up at AA where he went 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA in eight games (three starts).

Strengths/Weaknesses: rangy, athletic shortstop with a strong arm and solid speed. draws a lot of walks, but also strikes out a lot. incredibly aggressive defensively and this results in a lot of throwing errors

Backstory (Optional): Vince played for the same indy league team as Shawn out of high school, and signed with the Astros last year. He only hit .215 at AAA, but that came with a 14 percent walk rate, 18 steals, 6 homers, and a +11.7 range factor. he did commit 26 errors though. He is originally from Germany but moved to Colorado for high school and has stayed in the States since then.
